Even though it’s too late for me to have a boudoir shoot done, I was wondering if anyone thought this was a good idea for a first anniversary gift. I had toyed with the idea of doing one as a gift for Fiance on our wedding day, but time ran out and I just never got to it. I am a little disappointed, but there’s no use worrying about it now. I thought maybe it would be a fun first anniversary gift…you know, a little reminder of what he married a year ago, kinda rekindle that newlywed spark a bit? Just curious if you think this is a good idea, or if any of you have done it!

@MrsDrRose612: I don’t think that “technically” there is a right or wrong time to do a sexy photo shoot for your Hubby / Fiance / SO…
BUT, I have to say it probably isn’t something that I’d do for a First Anniversary… think I’d mark that with a gift that is somewhat less personal… something that would be more in line to be shared by both of you… a getaway weekend, tickets to a concert / sporting event, item for your home you’ve been looking at but haven’t gotten around to buying yet.
Personally, I’d say giving a guy a Boudoir Collection for their Birthday is a BIG Hit… lol, guys love the whole idea of getting something sexy on their birthdays (and if it includes getting lucky all the better)… there is some wacky belief they have from the time they are teens, that any chance of getting laid on your Birthday makes it better.
Sorry to be so graphic… but it really is a GUY THING.

I don’t think there’s ever a wrong time to gift your Darling Husband with pics from a boudoir shoot. It can be a nice way to spice things up after you’ve said, “I do.”

I plan on getting mine done for our first anniversary. I wanted to give it to him for the wedding but I decided to wait becuase we are spending so much money right now as it is!

Pretty sure your FI/H will appreciate it for any and every occasion. Go for it! 🙂

Heck no! My mind would be blown if the men thought sexy lady pics of your partner were only good for important dates, especially weddings 😉 I think it would be a welcome addition to the relationship at any time.

First year is supposed to be paper I believe!….

Ah, sorry! I was the one vote for the “best as a wedding gift” because I mis-clicked. I think it depends on the guy, but if he’s a guy who’d like boudoir photos, I don’t think that appreciation would be limited to just your wedding day. I didn’t even know it was a wedding day tradition until I started reading this site.

I would be terrified to do this the day of the wedding, with all the family and friends about, I’d be afraid of photos falling onto the wrong hands (oh noes, I left the *something* back at the hotel, and sent my dad/uncle/groomsman/mom back to get it)

I can’t wrap my mind around WHY this would only be a good idea for a wedding day gift. It’s never too late, do it!
I’m pretty sure that if it weren’t cost-prohibitive, my man would PREFER this as an anniversary gift every year. Until I reach 80 or so, then I’ll have to buy him pinups, I suppose. 🙂

My Fiance would like one every year. 😀

@kay01: so true!! good point 😉
@village_skeptic: haha, i know right??
@SaraP2012: that’s the same situation I found myself in. And he’s very much of the idea “why do we need to give each other gifts on the wedding day” because of the fact that we’re having this huge, lavish, gorgeous wedding, are getting to marry each other, and giving each other our dream wedding bands….I just ran out of time and resources to do it.
I think it would be super unexpected for him (espeically coming from me…I’m not exactly a girl who is all “look how sexy I am” all the time with him…mostly I’m like “ugh I look like shit”) and I figured a first anniversary would be great…in addition, of course, to something special like a night out or a weekend getaway!

I didn’t have time to get one done before our wedding. I talked to Darling Husband about doing one before and he thought it was the greatest idea ever. So I’m considering it for our 1st anniversary.

My Fiance thinks it’s the greatest thing EVER. We suck at keeping secrets and he figured out what I had done before the wedding, so he’s seen a preview pic. And he can not WAIT to have a whole album.
