I think it looks pretty substantial, not too small at all

@Kissme0408:  I don’t think you should let some off the cuff comment by your hair stylist question your ring. Its really beautiful, and looks lovely on your finger.

@Kissme0408:  Dainty can also mean very feminine and pretty.

I think maybe she was trying to say that it looks feminine. I know people who use ‘dainty’ to mean ‘feminine’, even though they don’t mean the same thing at all.

Geesh, if your ring is small, mine is nonexistant! But really, that ring is beautiful and I think you get the perfect amount of finger coverage. I love that style! Ignore the hairdresser, she clearly doesn’t know what dainty means.

@Nostawyn:  +100, I also use the word dainty when I mean feminine/delicate/classic looking. Not always intended to be negative.

@Kissme0408:  Oh! It is gorgeous!! And a wonderful size. I think it looks perfect on your finger, too. Maybe the hair stylist meant “dainty” as in pretty and feminine, instead of small. It is a lovely and feminine style.

@Kissme0408:  Just out of curiosity, what would have happened if we all told you yes, its too small?

I have this ring and never think of it as dainty. I think of it as really blingy!

@Kissme0408:  the real question is, does she know what dainty means & did you tip her?!? 😉

LOL no one carat is not too small. Maybe it is considered “small” in some areas depending on where you live. The hairdresser might have said “dainty” as a compliment not to say it’s small.
