Of course it is okay! If you don't need any other support there is no reason to wear it!
I'm having cups sewn into my dress, so I won't even need a strapless bra. Technically, I'll only have on panties under my dress. :-)
I was completely topless under my dress since it already had boning built in and I didn't need the extra support.
A strapless bra and panties are fine to wear under your dress. Since it will be hot though and your dress slips when you are wearing the bra, you might want to try the dress on without the bra, see how it looks, and then have it altered to fit you without the bra. I will just be wearing some nice panties because with the way my gown is made, I don't need a bra, and it will be one less thing to worry about.
That's fantastic!! I had no idea. I wear a 34B, so I may just go with a strappless nude colored Bra (something that the dress will grip to) and then just panties.. It'll probably feel nice!
@noritake22: I haven't had anyone to lace up the back of my dress properly so I have no idea how it is without a bra. This is a good option to try out then.
i think its fine. thats what i was gonna do until i went for alterations and they i should skip the bra altogether and they will sew in cups for me! and they will give me some cleavage (of which i currnetly have none!), so i love it!
All I am doing is a strapless bra and panties. My bra is ugly and nude colored. I thought about this and it is not very sexy for the wedding night but it is what it is.

What are you supposed to wear under a wedding dress?
My dress is trumpet and I tried it on with a strappless bra, it has boning kinda sewn in the bodice.
I'm clueless in this area. It's quite a dress but I'm taking it to the caribbean where it's going to be hot even in november.
There is no need for extra poofiness or skirts under the dress. Is a strappless bra and panties ok ? Any specific type of strappless bra, so far I have a satiny sort of one but the dress slips off it so maybe I'll get something more (rubbery?/foamy?)
