I don’t think you have to have one!  The pillar flowers on both sides will be lovely.

Honestly I think the extra arch makes things unecessarily busy. Why don’t you use what you’ve got there already, it’s basically a natural archway so why add an extra. It would be gorgeous to wrap some greenery off the center part of the wood frame and create your own arch. Basically use the pillars as the bottom of the “natural” arch and then use some greenery on the top part of the wood voila natural archway.
