@danymarie: I'd go with whatever looks better on you. I wore white and got married outside, and I looked way better in white than I did in ivory. The ivory totally washed me out--my consultant couldn't believe it because so many people look better in ivory. But white was perfect for me!
White vs ivory has nothing to do with the weather. It depends on how it complements your skin tone. If you want white outdoors, go for it and join the ranks of millions of women who have done it. It's not too bright at all and your guests won't be concerned with it.
well, i am going to be very tan, so i think/hope white will flatter it. Its like the dress itself is in caramel so it was really hard to imagine it in white.
ok here is a picture of the dress, on me, do you think it will look good in white, or should i have gone with ivory, i just ordered it but there may still be time to change it. I am soooo worried. :/ the dress is caramel in the picture
It's hard to tell with the light but I think that white is a good choice! The ivory seams very dark to me.
Is that picture in ivory or caramel? Because if it's ivory, I think it's very dark for outdoors.

I actually tried that dress on in white! I don't think they usually have it, but when I was there someone had made some changes and then decided she didn't want it so they happened to have a white one. My skin color is similar to yours and I have brown hair, and I think white dresses look way better on me than ivory. I think the white will look amazing on you! And that dress fits you really well.
@danymarie: I think white will be lovely and especially complimentary to a tan skin tone. Any chance you can get a swatch of the fabric in white? That is a gorgeous dress!
@pinkvalentine: o my goodness!! thank you!! :) I was just worried that with all the detail that with the white you wouldnt be able to see all of it. wow, that makes me feel sooooo much better!!! its like I could not seem to find a single other soul that has seen this dress let alone seen this dress in white!! ahhh thank you!
WOW...love this dress... & you look Wonderful in it! Personally I would go w/ the Ivory b/c I think that dress looks better in Ivory...but either way that dress is beautiful no matter what color!!!!
Oh it is GORGEOUS in white! I wish I could have found it back home so I could try it on again. Make sure to post pictures of it when it comes in!!!!

i want a white dress but i dont know if white is too bright for outdoor wedding. Would ivory be a better choice or doesnt it really matter?
