- Wedding: December 2012
I am getting Married next December and have made the budget friendly but ultimately stressful decision to hold my black tie optional wedding in the vast expanse of my parents four acre wooded property on a winding river on the west coast of Florida. The setting is idyllic, and I can change the property, decorate and make as much noise as I want. This also means I am over seeing a huge renovation, looking for a reliable caterer, figuring out my ow lighting, table placement, and because am ridiculous the arranging of my own flowers. I have more diy projects than any other bride I personally know and although I have the support of my large family and 7 bridesmaids as well as my amazing fiance, they are all so busy I do most of the logistical things myself.
Everyone loves my ideas and they are excited to arrange flowers two days before the wedding and help string lights, but with logistics like if we have enough bathrooms, weather we should pour concrete or create a lifted wooden deck, and weather or not we are going to blow a breaker with the mass amounts of lights we are going to need to allow every one to see, I am wondering if I will still be sane at the end of all of this.
I have to admit the fact that I can have a formal wedding for 140 people on a 16,000 dollar budget is making this whole planning deal worth the headaches, I guess this very ranting post is just my way of reaching out to you bee’s and looking for your own wedding planning woes 😀
So girls are any of you feeling like you have gotten in waaayyy over your head?
