I like that. I'm thinking a big basket with clear wrapping and a bow would be beautiful.
Honestly, I've never seen that done at a wedding, but it IS a good thing! I wouldn't wrap it... I would honestly just place food in the basket. Most churches already have a food basket as many have moved away from inviting people to bring food to the altar on their own. If the church has a basket just bring the food.
The wrapping will be noisy and distracting.

We met with our priest for the last time lastnight and went over the details of the ceremony and he mentioned the blessing of the gifts which can include a food basket that will be given to a needy family. I had not heard or seen of this before and he told us that it symobolizes charity and caring for others, which we liked so we decided to do it. Only thing is that it is now another thing to do, and I'm trying to figure how to do it. Should it be decorated? Like with clear wrapping? Has anyone seen this before and can you please give me some info based on your experience?
