We are eloping to Thailand. I don't know if you are looking for US or another country. But, if you are looking out of the US, the first thing to do is check the marriage requirements. Some countries are very difficult or impossible to get legally married.
I would love to go to Thailand. I definitely want to go outside the US, but it sure can be complicated.
I'm totally biaised here, but Punta Cana!! It's beautiful and they handle multiple weddings every day = they know what they're doing and it runs smoothly!
Plus the legal requirements are easy...
If you want to stay in the US, I would reccomend Key West- if you want to go fun and sun... Lots of people elope there, so I am sure you will be able to celebrate with other couples :)... Or somewhere historic like St. Augustine or Charleston, SC...
Lots of resorts in the carribean have elopement packages where you stay for x number of days and get a free wedding. Napa is also very popular, and I know Santa Barbara, CA as a lot of beach wedding elopement packages.
We wanted to go somewhere really special and memorable. So we made a list of dream destinations and then looked at budget and legal requirements. Since it is just the two of us, we didn't have to worry about it being easy to get to for guests!
