we have the same colors!
ME!!!! Our wedding is in the fall, so we are doing "fall-ish colours", so not only do we have a colour combination that isn't "in" anymore....we are also very "un-original"!!!!
We are doing Royal Blue and yellow/gold/ivory/white... apparently these have never been in for weddings... I cant find ANY invites in these colors... lol.. but you make it work!
I dunno if my combo isn't "in", but everyone keeps telling me they are too "dark" and "wintery" for my summer wedding.
Poo on them, my colors are pretty.
I think our colors are pretty classic (crimson and dark gunmetal grey), but they're certainly not "trendy" by any means. However, I'm finding more often that the feel of our wedding is really "out". We're aiming for a chic, modern feel and all I see is rustic and vintage everywhere! Not to say that isn't gorgeous also; we're just not the type.
@artbee: I guess tech they can't lol.
But just like apparently pick ups are out... and cash bars are wrong... "people" say colours can go out of style :P
I am not sure my colors have ever been in... but they sure aren't in now! Dark teal and Bright Orange anyone?
I'm doing 60% pure white with 30% Navy and about 10% red.
I was trying to find a colour palette example but all I could find was amercian flags
So I dont' know if this was ever in style.
The only red is going to be my FI's red jacket on his uniform with a couple of springs of red in my flowers, bouquet and in my Pomanders.
The chair sashes are going to be white
The pomanders white with some navy and the red flowers dotted throughout
Place mats, card stock of everything else (table seating, etc. everthing) will be plain white with some pops of navy.
Sorry for babbling so much.

I didn't even know color combos were "in" or "out." Though I guess that makes sense. I love brown and pink together, though! Ours are black, silver, and just a dash of light pink. We do have a theme though. . .
@Miss Smurf: One of my good friends is also having "fall" colors. haha.
@cazian: I know what you mean about all the rustic and vintage weddings.
@Oneeleven: I LOVE the look of mostly white weddings! It looks so clean and elegant!
@Keltaena: what is your theme?
mine is popular. but, i picked it years ago and i never looked back, lol! i'm doing peach, cream, light pink, teal blue and succulant green. that combo is everywhere now, but that only makes me love it more!
I'm doing fuchsia! If I need another color (which I don't) then it would be chocolate brown. I'm not into trends so I don't care. Brown is my favorite color and pink is his favorite for a girl. So that's how it worked out.
I am basing my color of of summer and wildflowers so it will be a bunch of amazing bright colors with some white just to balance it out! I dont see many weddings with 2-3 colors and i have 6, 7 if you include white... lol
we are doing chocolate brown and orange. people keep saying it doesn't fit our date but eff them, lol.
@tranquility: I'm also doing chocolate brown and light pink. I love the combo. It's not out of style - it's just classic ;)
I didn't know color combos could be in or out. We did pink and green for our spring wedding.
I dont think my colors have ever been "in" lol but I love them! =) And I will make them work dam it! (heehee) =P

(**Not exact swatches or anything, just ones I made**)
My colors are more considered winter/Christmas time colors. BUT DO NOT CARE. Navy blue, Silver and white
Yeah, I don't really care :)
People keep telling me how out and ugly my colors are. I don't care. I love me some Orange and Tiffany Blue so they can kindly suck it. :D
I doubt my theme was ever "in!" I'm doing guava and hunter green with splashes of golden yellow and sage green. Very retro.
I was told that mine was not right for my winter wedding its purple green and butterflies. I don't really care though, I love purple my Fiance loves green and I love butterflies.
I feel unfashionable because we don't have yellow, orange, grey or lime in our colour scheme!
Ours is cornflower blue and various shades of purple. Because they're my favourite colours!
I just did shades of purple, i started out wanting only lavender, but couldnt get some things, and found i like dark and light purple together. and then i threw in white and silver when necessary (ie. BM bouquets were white with their lavender dresses).
my "theme" was beach, but not everything was beach themed, just when i found cute beachy things. i also love hearts, so i had some heart stuff too. so ya, i was all over the place and my wedding was everything i wanted and then some!
@thewheelsonthebus: Woo hoo for the Tiffany blue combo girls ;)
@JanuraryGirl80: Ooh I really like purple and green together, it definetly has a wow
Haha... I didn't even pay attention to what was in or out, but our colors are pewter gray, hot pink and marigold yellow. I've met confusion because gray "is a neutral" and vendors keep thinking my colors are hot pink and marigold with gray as an accent (no... yellow's the accent). Also, gray and yellow are in, like, every photo I see. Our theme - vintage modern - may not be "out," but I keep hearing it's "overdone," and I've seen my wedding dress on three other girls so far (twice in board photos, once on the street as a couple got wedding photos done). Also, we're doing cupcakes, which I also keep hearing are "overdone."
And you know what? I don't care, because we're going to get married, people will have a blast, and everything will be super pretty :)

The green 1920's paint trim was everywhere at our Arts and Crafts reception hall. I decided to incorporate it into our scheme rather than fight it. My colors were in no way trendy but I didn't care as I was trying to avoid the corporate wedding stuff anyway. I used seafoam green, maize yellow, and a peachy pink persimmon.
I don't know that my colors were ever "in" (dark purple and orange) but I have seen a few bees with the same combo.
It's funny because I don't really like green unless it is with purple then I can deal with it.
@JanuraryGirl80: I had a january wedding with purple and green... who told you it didn't work?
My color combo is eggplant and charcoal gray, with a splash of bright yellow.
I'm assuming my two main colors were never in, because it seems impossible to find anything in these shades.
I love my colors but would have probably reconsidered if I'd fully realized how hard it would be to find them!
We're having a fall themed wedding and going with all of the normal fall colors (burnt orange, chocolate brown, plum, gold, etc...). I highly doubt it's considered "in" but I don't give shit.
Frankly, I like weddings that don't look like everyone elses. The more unique the colors, the more I'll probably like it.
@JanuraryGirl80: we almost did butterflies as well for our Winter Wedding! =)
We're getting married at the beginning of September and our colors are B&W, couple different shades of pinks, and a little hint of silver.
Not really September colors, but I dont really care ;)
