FALL!!!!! OMG it's my favoritest season. From the end of July when magazines and stores start prepping us for back to school and dressing for the colder temps, I get completely psyched. I have always been a huge school nerd, so the start of school at the end of August kicks off a series of good events for me. My birthday is in September; FI's birthday is in October. Then, there's Halloween, which is my "gateway" holiday because after that comes Thanksgiving. And then, THEN!, my favorite time of all -- CHRISTMAS! Mid-July marks the official start of Christmas music rotations on my radio. What can I say? I love the crisp, sunshiney days with cooler air. I love school. I love pumpkins. I love wearing socks and sweaters and boots. I love how everyone seems to just be in a good mood around the holidays. I really wanted to be a fall or Christmas bride just because the time of year makes me so happy, but I decided to spread the joy around a little more. I shall stop waxing poetic and give the hive a chance to share their loves.
What's your favorite season?
I AMMM .. I love fall. The sheer idea of pumkin lattes and pumpkin loafs make me giddy :-) I cannot wait!!
I adore spring in Chicago once it stops snowing/warms up for good. I could just spend all day outside after the horrendously cold, snowy winters!
HELL YES. Fall is my favorite season, and I'm especially excited after this hellish summer.
I totally thought you were going to say Shark Week! haha. But yes, I'm looking forward to fall as well. It's oppressingly hot in Florida right now.
@Chipmunk: I can just hear a tone of voice in that -- it sounds like me, all giddy!
@lilyfaith: That sounds lovely! Spring is FI's favorite holiday, too.
@danadelphia: We are 2.5 hrs from you so we had a similarly hot summer. I completely agree!
Oh I'm so ready for fall! I hate the humidity here in AL which makes me hate the summer. I've basically become a home body because I can't stand going outside right now.
@Boston Bee: Oooo shark week is also very excitement worthy! I don't think I could live in FL -- I am sure the cooler weather is nice, but I love changing leaves! Although ask me again in February and FL might sounds pretty appealing! ;)
Fall is my favorite too!! I can't wait to start baking apple crisp and pumpkin pies... and going to the orchards to pick pumpkins and go on hay rides and drink lots of warm cider! I love getting all of the little crafty holiday items at the cider mills :)
But I am EXTRA excited for this fall because it is the first time I am ever going to be able to pass out candy to all of the little kids! Growing up our house was in the woods sooo walking around subdivisions and stuff never happened for me. But we just bought a house this year and it is right in a downtown area so I cannot wait! I hear if you leave your porch light on then that lets people know you have candy :)
@bloodgo1: Yes leaving the lights on usually means you have candy. We don't hand out candy and people don't always take the hint with our turned off lights.
@MissAsB: My friend in North Carolina said similarly that they are homebodies in July and Aug and nobody goes outside until well after dark if it cools down. I hope you are keeping cool for now!
@bloodgo1: Congrats on your house! The light usually does mean candy. I hope you get a lot of cute kids to visit!
@Amaryllis: Keeping cool at times. We have the AC at 81 but because it's so hot out that actually feels pretty cool!
I can't wait for Fall, it means my wedding is getting closer!
@MissAsB: Omg 81 and that feels cool?? That would be awful! And here I was just whining about how we have ours set on 78 but the AC is running pretty often just to keep it that cool. 1 or 2 degrees seem to make a huge difference in the house though sooo I would just be extra whiney if I had to deal with 81 lol
I LOVE fall!!! I can't wait!! Love fall festivals, pumpkin patches, the leaves, sweaters and boots, beautiful September sunsets, I love it all!! Because I'm a little nutty (and because I gave up my dream of a fall wedding for a wedding at the beach), I've already booked our 1 year anniversary trip for next October in Pigeon Forge! Ooooh I just love when the leaves change!!

@MissAsB: Oh, gosh! 81 is not cool! Though I usually get too cold with our air on, but we don't have our own thermostat since the air is for the dentist's office we live under. It's nice because they pay for it, but I'd actually prefer it a little warmer!
It really doesn't feel bad to me, I usually feel cooler if the air is continually moving though so we sleep with a fan on.
@Miss BooBoo: I am seeing a lot of Pennsylvania replies here. Maybe it's because we have the best leaves?! I've never heard of Pigeon Forge, but I still think we can take them in a leaf-off. ;)
I am!!! So excited! Fall is my absolute fav and the thought of cool evenings and colorful leaves makes me so happy :)
It's in TN. PA seasons are great!! Last year my FI and I went to Seven Springs for their Autumnfest. I was excited for MONTHS- and then it snowed all weekend!! Everything was moved inside! I was so sad. Seriously, cried, it was pathetic. So, we're going to try again this year.
There's nothing like that time of year. Makes me really happy. 
How could I forget about football!!!!!! You are so right, Mrs. Louboutin!
Ah, football. We're a Steelers household. FI was All-State in high school and played in college so there's no getting out of it for me. We still go to high school games just to watch. And FSIL is in the band!
@Miss BooBoo: Random early snows can be such a pain. I live in an area known for its HUGE fair during the last week of September, and I don't remember a year that it hasn't snowed at least once. We always joke that this fair harbors the cold weather.
@Amaryllis: Could you PM me info on the festival you're talking about? I'm always looking for new places to travel to in the fall.
1- SO EXCITED for football season! FI and I are Alabama grads so we love the Crimson Tide!
2- BooBoo I LOVE Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg, they are one of my favorite places!
Only thing I am NOT looking forward to about fall is that I will have to go back to school (we are finishing the year this Thursday)
I have to go to Pigeon Forge, it's not too far from here. I'm looking forward to the fall foliage for sure (miss the Aspens from CO though)!
I can't wait! All I want right now is to sit outside Starbucks wearing an argyle sweater and Converse sneakers, read a book and sip a pumpkin spice latte. Can. Not. Wait.
I use to LOVE fall until we moved into our current house with all the damn trees! It seems like every weekend for 2 months we rake up leaves. Litterly there is about a foot every weekend!
I think my fav is Winter because I LOVE LOVE christmas! and everything about winter!
What are these seasons you speak of? Haha, just kidding. There's basically just summer in Texas and we're just starting to dip into the 100s. Yay! I actually enjoy the summer and the heat quite a bit but am really looking forward to the "fall" down here just because I like when it's warm enough to sit outside but not sweat my ass off. Plus once we hit fall, I'll be getting married, which is a double yay!
Fall is.. a lot like summer here, haha.
I do love that it becomes acceptable to wear boots and light scarves and coats, though!!
Yea I miss the season! Texas just has Summer and Not-Quite-Summer-Yet. :(
If I could have the PA fall in Texas, it would be almost perfect.
Fall means: band season (football season to the misguided), new classes, new apartment, cooler weather, leaves changing (pretty colors in the north, brown in the south), and less squirrels.
What is it about college campus that attract the insane squirrels? Back home we were known for our "ninja squirrels" which would attack you with acorns. Here, they like to run at you and chase you- which is much scarier than it sounds.
I can't wait for autumn!! My favorite season by far!!!
I HATE summer (hot weather and humidity) and am counting down the weeks until fall. This summer in PA has been just ridiculous. Hottest June on record and two days shy of the hottest July on record. Enough already!!!! I LOVE October, cool air, changing leaves, pumpkin candles, pumpkin pies, Halloween...can't wait!!
I'm soo excited and CANNOT wait! For one My daughter will be here in September and 2 this Texas heat is killing me :-/ I love dressing in winter clothes and the holidays and everything else about that time of the year

I do adore Autumn. Not only is my birthday in October, we are getting married in October.
There's a smell in the crisp air during this time of year for me and my mind and imagination start to get creative because I know Halloween and the Holidays are fast approaching. It makes me happy.
So I'm totally joining the covo late, but Fall is my FAVORITE season.
I love wearing shorts and sweatshirts.. favorite outfit.. or leggings w/ a long sleeve t-shirt. I just bought a pair of leggings yesterday actually!
I love fall, even when it rains for a week. But I love summer too. This summer has been a bit unbearable, but normally summer is great too. Basically anything but winter is awesome :)
Agree with all the posters posting about Halloween and fall stuff.
Love the smell of this pumpkin spice oil that we burn, love carving pumpkins, getting giant yellow apples, putting cinnamon sticks in everything!
Also love Halloween. We bought our house 3 years ago, and have a blast on halloween. We invite a bunch of friends over, pass out candy, then have a party afterwards. Our house is fun - my husband dresses up in a scary monster costume and stands up on the porch, the kids in the neighborhood love it (well some run away or cry, but most love it...)
Plus my birthday is 11.01, so I love it for that too!
