I decided to throw a party for my Bridesmaids and my two Usherettes- a Bridesmaid Shower if you will. The purpose for the party is to get everyone in the same room for the first time, get comfortable with one another, and most importantly to thank them all for being a part of our special day.

The party is this Saturday!! I have gifts for each girl that I will be giving them (see pic below) and I will have out lots of food as well as serving martinis and cocktails. I thought I could put out picture albums to take a trip down memory lane (I have tons of pictures), but I am at a loss as to what else we can do.

Is anyone else doing something similar?? Any suggestions for fun girl games or ideas for a girlfriend get-together?

Never heard of a BM shower. I would have never been able to get everyone together like that. Good luck!

I never heard of one either, I just thought is was a really good idea to get everyone together.

All, but one person can make it which is a pretty good turn out if you ask me :)

when i have been in weddings in the past, the bride hosted events like this for the BMs, she just didn't call it a shower.

I won't be, but what a fun idea!  We're too spread out...I'm already making them fly pretty far for the wedding so I don't want to make them feel obligated to come out for extra things, but all but 2 of my girls know each other already, so it's a good start.

I hosted a bridal shower on Saturday and am so exhausted I think it's going to be awhile before there are any more gatherings here...

(I say as I realize we invited a friend for dinner tonight. Oops)
