The next few months my life will completely change

I will be getting married, moving to Europe and start looking at houses and look for a new job; it's all very overwhelming, exciting and scary at the same time; above all I am very happy I will finally be with my fiance

anyone else having other major life changing events at the same time?

how do you cope with it all?

We're buying a home and getting married (but moving just a mile away).  Closing is July 27 - moving for the next month and wedding October 17.  Craziness!!!

I started a thread on this a few wks ago:

There are some helpful tips in this thread.

Well, we are not moving to another continent, but we are getting married in a month and buying/building a custom modular home in the next few months...I feel a bit overwhelmed as well!

I'm sorry I don't have any tips to offer.

We are doing the triple threat as well, but not moving far away, probably staying in the same city even. We don't live together now so it'll be very exciting to come home from our honeymoon and have our first night together in our first place. Like another h-moon at home!!!

    :)

We're doing the same thing as well.  I'm hoping to find a place in the next two weeks so we can move in September, then our wedding will be in October.  It is very stressful, I've had a breakdown or two so far and my Mom has been great in helping calm me down.

I think moving to a different country is a entirely different story - and I wish you guys the best of luck!  Just remember to keep breathing!!

We just bought a house.  I cannot imagine doing all of that all at the same time.  Sometimes I wish we werent living together yet, but at the same time I am so grateful to be able to do one big stressful thing at a time.

    Good luck!!!

We're going to be doing that, too. Our wedding is going to be fall 2012. I'll graduate from university in the spring, we'll spend the summer finishing up wedding planning and looking for a house and job, and after we're married we'll move. My fiance will then finish up his computing science degree via correspondance (hopefully).

Well, we're trying to buy a house before the wedding, to create sort of a 'homebase' that's large enough to accomadate a larger group of people.  It's a little crazy to try to find a house and plan a wedding, but I think it'll be worth it!  Just remember, the end goal is to be happy with your husband, so all that external stuff is incidental.  And just breathe!

We presently live together but scouting out houses in the area since we are in a condo - we plan on continuing to look after we get married if we have no luck in the next three months - however regardless we are placing stuff on the registry for our future home, like chandelier, glass bowl raised bathroom sink, barbq and bunch more stuff :)

We're getting married, I'm moving to DC, and so we're both having to move out of current apartment.  Yup, ditchin' the Mr. 1 month after saying "I do".  Did I mention I'm a commitment-phobe ;)  No, it's just a once in a lifetime opportunity that came up, and it doesn't make sense for him to quit his job.

I start my leave from my current job after next week.  It's nuts right now.  we're not even thinking about the moves until after the honeymoon.  I figure, 2 weeks should be plenty, right ;)

i married, moved, and rented a house.  Not quite every piece, but the move from Chicago to San Diego was huge!  It's also the first time I've lived in my own place (I was in college dorms, then moved back home to my parents house before the wedding)

Lots and lots of changes.  I think I'll have moments of missing my old 'home', family and friends, but my new life is so exciting, and I'm sure yours will be too!  Only a couple months away for you!

We're actually going to see a house tomorrow night, I'm really hoping to get a house before we get married, but we'll see how that goes.  We're hoping to stay in the same town we're currently in and def want to stay in the same county, but just not sure how it will go yet.  Good luck Is anyone else marrying, moving and buying a house? : wedding Icon Biggrin

We are going to buy a house on March, so when we get married on June, everything will be ready and we can relax a little. There's a lot of plans and there will be some changes, I will start looking for a job... But we are really happy & excited about everything! :)

Btw, we are going to live in my hometown! :)
