with Bridezillas and say yes to the dress?? LOL
I know, kind of pathetic but I cant help but to watch these shows to get ideas of my future wedding (whenever that will be).
Can anyone else relate?
Am I pathetic?
I totally am! I love both those shows. I literally get uncomfortable with Bridezillas sometimes though; seriously, who acts like that?! And more importantly, who marries someone like those ladies? I spend the whole time feeling sorry for their grooms. But not so sorry that I can't watch ;)
Fiance was out of town one weekend, and I found myself watching a Say Yes to the Dress marathon for HOURSSSSSSS. It was bliss :-)
omg, I am completely obsessed with SYTTD! Best part is, BF likes to watch it with me. (He also likes What Not to Wear, and SYTTD comes on right after.) A day or two after I bought my dress, we were watching SYTTD and he's like, "Your dress is better than any of the dresses I've seen on here!" I was so happy :)
Unfortunately, now that I have joined the Christmas Challenge, I purposely don't watch it anymore when he's around so that the topic doesn't come up. :(
Never really watched Bridezillas but from what I hear I don't know that I'd enjoy it that much...I prefer warm and fuzzies from my wedding shows!
I love Say yes to the dress...can't stand bridezillas though. Those girls need a tranquilizer, seriously.
Not pathetic! I love "Say Yes to the Dress." I love it so much that my BF will turn it on for me if I'm in a crummy mood. I just love seeing what "real women" (i.e. women that aren't necessarily models) look like in different dresses.
I was enjoying this show called "Say yes and marry me", but the past three times I've gone to watch it, it's been the the same episode. :(

I cant stand that Karen girl from bridezillas!!! is she serious?? really? there would be no way i would put up with that if i was one of her friends!

I love SYTTD and watch it even more now that I'm married for some reason! I never liked bridezillas though. I think alot of that is for the cameras and those brides are ridiculous.
I am also obsessed with both..But I will raise you 1 :) I can't wait for Sunday nights so I can watch My Fair Wedding! If I miss it at 10 I will stay up and wait for it at midnight..
I DVR Bridezillas! I can't understand why though because I can't stand the majority of the brides! They are a special kind of crazy! Now, I know they have to amp it up for the cameras but you can't make that crap up. Pretty sure if I see any of the NYC brides I'll have to say something lol.
I love Say Yes to the Dress and My Fair Wedding. I used to love Bridezillias, but those women have progressively grown more insane over the course of the seasons...I feel bad for the grooms, although they obviously know what they are getting themselves into
Since we've never owned a TV, the only time I saw SYTTD was... during our honeymoon. Husband was taking a nap and I turned on the television and it was a marathon! I was transfixed! It was so awesome and I know I would never get anything done if I had a tv, I'd be a total SYTTD head.
OMG I totally was and still am obsessed with these shows! I couldn't even believe what a cool show SYTTD was! FH knew about it, there were no secrets.
Ok, bees.

The thing is that she is totally like that in real life.
I said to my BF how can a girl like that get a ring and I STILL waiting! LMAO
@lolaj: you actually KNOW Karen?! Is she really that bad in person? I sit watching her in utter disbelief. The rest of her family seems so nice, especially her dad.
I love syttd, i loathe bridezillas lol! I am more of a platinum weddings, masters of reception (which is so-so), wedded to perfection type show watcher.
@lolaj: maybe that's why i don't watch bridezillas. i can't understand how they are planning their weddings while i am still waiting.
crebre80- i know what you mean. I get a bit of that jealousy pang but then I look at it like this. At least I know what NOT to do when it is my turn.....
@lolaj: i don't know if it is a jealousy thing or a more incredulous this is insane!! i cannot believe these people are engaged. it's like they bamboozled these guys.
Regarding the women on Bridezillas actually finding men to marry them: as my papa (grandfather) used to say as a car salesman back in the day, "there's a butt for every seat." A little crude, I know, but true...
I DVR them both, too. :) I love to hate the brides on Bridezillas. It's like passing a car accident--you can't help but want to see it! Karen is definitely something else, though, if I'm thinking of the right one. "You $9 an hour person!" pretty much tells you all you need to know about her.
SYTTD is my new guilty pleasure, though. I agree with Lovesthebear: it's really cool to see real women look beautiful in their wedding dresses!
So glad I'm not the only one! I love SYTTD, quite possibly the best wedding-based show ever. BF laughs when I make snarky comments about some of the brides and their wedding dress choices (or lack thereof)
I watch both of them. My FI will watch BZ with me. I think more or less because he finds it funny and feels bad for the poor groom. Did anyone see that one that was actually a Groomzilla! I would kill my FI! LOL Anyone have Comcast? They had SYTTD on ON DEMAND last season and I cant find it on there this season to catch the ones I miss! : (
LOL I was on a cross-country JetBlue flight with FI recently and there was a SYTTD marathon and I watched it like the entire flight. Best plane flight ever!!!! FI probably thought I was crazy though...I'm sure every time he looked over it looked like the exact same thing :-P

Can you girls actually believe the way those crazy girls act on Bridezillas ??? ... That has to be fake or an act-- b/c I cannot believe they treat their guys like that and their the ones getting married before us.. .. WTF !!!
totally!!! ive watched the same episodes of say yes to the dress over and over again!! cant get enough! i get so excited when a marathon is on, or when i get to watch the new ones on Fridays...sometimes I avoid making plans just to watch!!
great new show on WE, My Fair Wedding with David Tuterra...the most awesome wedding planner ever!!!SUnday nights, if you havent seen it, u gotta check it out, its a new fav. he takes over the wedding 3 weeks before from brides who have no clue and makes the most awesome weddings ever!!
and im convinced the brides on bridezillas are upping their crazy levels!! i just cant believe anyone could really be that way...like the way ive seen some talk to their FMIL's and she just takes it...no way! I think they make them go nutty to be on there...but yea i totally love watching it...makes me feel normal :)

I love SYTTD and I'm pretty sure I watch every single episodes. But don't tell my fiancé.... LOL
I wish David from My Fair wedding would travel outside that area. I would solet him change whatever the heck he wants to have one of those weddings. SO AMAZING!
just finished watching tonight's say yes episodes!! i love it. i love looking at dresses and feeling wonderful about my choice!
Im so obsessed with say yes to the dress, and I like flowers uncut now. Im not crazy about bridezillas because I feel like its fake. No one is that crazy, right??
