How far out is your wedding? I’m thinking about ordering my dress from her. If you still have plenty of time, I would just be patient. She seems to be extremely busy judging by the number of reviews per day.

I messaged her a few days back about a quote, she replied immediately, I responded again, and have heard nothing since. I got in touch with her because jasmines are so busy at the moment. Wondering what I’m supposed to do if neither work out :/

I ordered from her a couple of days ago and my wedding isn’t till next year. But it seems like she’s really busy, during our communication she would answer quickly in the begining but lately she takes a while to answer back.

Just be patient, if she doesn’t answer in a couple of days try again. Apparently she has people helping her answer her emails, idk…

Hi I logged in just to respond to this post.

I am not ordering a full dress but ordering custom made cap sleeves for my dress in June (I asked for May delivery to I have time to work with my local seamstress to sew them on).  I agree that she was more responsive until the past couple of weeks.  My biggest concern is she reserved a listing for me and it shows as sold but I did not buy it and have only provided my measurements over messaging.  I would feel much better if I had confirmation that she is shipping to my address, has receipt of payment and then of course confirmation she will deliver on time.

Truthfully after reading some of the posts here (when she got too busy last year she removed herself from etsy for a while) and also the feedback from today (a couple of negative saying she has been removing recent negative posts), I’m giving her one last shot in the next week and then I’m going to find another solution.   I do have a dress so I’m not in the same spot – but for me it’s not worth the stress & uncertainty.

I’m sure she is a very nice lady and needs to understand it’s okay to limit herself on orders so she can continue to provide quality products and services.

That sucks, I was thinking about ordering from her before, and I check back every once in a while to see what’s new.

I’ve also contacted her in the past about changing the fabric on the dress and she responded in a day.

If anyone has already placed orders with her, she says that she’s making dresses in order of whose event is first, rather than in order of who has paid first. So if she gets a ton of people who say they need their dresses by May, she’ll rush to do those before later wedding/prom dates. It’s not really fair, but hopefully the extra time will mean better quality.

*good luck*

Fabulous U is a great alternative. Tony gets back to me very quickly, especially at nighttime (past 10 or so) when it’s daytime for them.

@mepayne: +1.

I was actually in conversation with Yuan (the lady who runs Wonderxue) but she could only do my dress in white and I really wanted it in color. I heard a rumor that her mother died? And that was why she was having trouble finishing orders. But I have no idea if that’s actually true.

So now I’ve decided on FabulousU. Tony has been awesome. He is very quick to respond to e-mails and really takes the time to ask questions and make sure they 100% understand exactly what you want for your dress. I sent in my payment a few days ago and now I am on pins and needles waiting to see how  my vision turns out.

I had an AWFUL experience with her. She promised to deliver my dress in April, repeatedly move it back but now says taht she can’t make my dress because she got too busy!!! It’s too late for me to go to a bridal boutique to buy a dress because I wasted 3 months waiting for her. I wouldn’t recommend her. She may make beautiful dresses for cheap, but her words can’t be trusted. She has issues committing to orders.

Oh no! I’m one of those brides “left hanging”! Deposit paid, order in, waiting for the first pics that were due in May… I had FANTASTIC communication with Yuan at the start. We started discussions in January, and I paid my deposit in March. She went to the market and sourced different lace styles for me, and we discussed the dress cut in detail. I also asked for a very simple, classic cut that would be hard to stuff up 🙂 My fh’s aunt is a retired seamstress so I have someone to make the final alterations here, and I had done A LOT of research into Wonderxue before I started, so I was confident. My sister bought her dress from China and was thrilled, so I really didn’t worry.

Of course, that was before HER SHOP DISAPPEARED! I now have under 4 months to my wedding, and I live in The Netherlands, so unless I want something that is bling-tastic from the 90s I don’t have a lot of options. I have emailed Yuan today and will let you know when (if!) I get a reply.

In one email she mentioned that she had just had a baby. Or, in her broken English, that she had “just got a baby”. An obvious factor in the amount of time she now has to sew!

Wish me luck, Bees!

@LittleNissa:  I got my flower girl dress from wonderxue 2 weeks ago. But I wouldnt risk it if I were you. I would start a dispute with etsy and paypal or your credit card ASAP. I started a dispute with paypal and told Yuan I was doing so and she replied and said she promised to ship my dress soon.

So many people are leaving negative feedback tho so I think I was just lucky to have gotten it at all. Also my flower girl dress looks rushed. If it were my dress I would not be happy with the quality at all!

Update: I sent a message through Etsy and got one back this morning:

Hello, although our shop on etsy has been closed we still finish all the paid orders and make dresses as usual
Please support us
Could you please tell me a deadline when you need the dress so we will arrange time frame for you”

I’m in the position where I can’t buy a dress from a store here, and my wedding is too close to risk another online order. I’m in Amsterdam, and you’d think that there’d be some great dresses here. Not the case – the locals seem to have a penchant for 90s puff-ball or 00s bling in all the wrong places. Great designer dresses are well beyond my budget.

So, I have given the following response:

Thank you so much for getting back to me! I love this dress, and I want to do everything that I can to make sure that I get to wear it on my wedding day.

The absolute deadline for my dress is 5th July, one month from today.

Back in April I got a message from Yuan confirming a measurement, so I assume that my dress is already being made. I will need to see photos of it in production by the end of the week (Friday morning your time) for me to continue with this order. Please understand – I really want to trust and support you however I am on a tight schedule and this is a very important purchase. If you send me some pictures of my dress in progress then I will be more comfortable and I won’t have to cancel my order.

With kind regards,
Nissa”

I’ll see what happens then, I suppose!

Meanhwile, FH is very supportive, and if we lose this money then we lose it. He’s in favour of me buying a ‘back-up’ dress here (off the rack) and then hoping and praying that my real dress comes through. I’m going to a vintage wedding dress warehouse on Friday to have a look around.

@janinaPK – Thanks for your reply. At this point, even a dodgily-sewed dress is better than my options here! And I do have a seamstress relative on hand to fix up any major problems.

@amsanabria – Good luck!
