I strongly advise you guys to stay away from this seller unless you have a year or more to order a dress. Ordering a dress from Wonderxue in the spring-fall (prom through wedding season) is a terrible idea. Only do it if you give her the off-season (winter) to work on your gown(s).
My wedding’s in September 2013, and Yuan offered me a price back in February . . . for the last few months I’ve just been waiting for the fabric samples and for her to send me an order so I can pay! I can’t reach her no matter how many times I send messages. All the other online custom dress sellers are booked up, and not taking more work. So I got kinda screwed by Wonderxue.
I have also heard that when she got really busy last year, she just pulled her shop off Etsy and left her customers hanging.
I watch her feedback board very carefully and I’ve seen a lot of very negative reviews in the last few weeks (about late orders and no communication . . . some brides left stranded with no dress right before their wedding). Somehow, many of the negative reviews disappear after a day or two . . . so if you’re just now looking at her review board, be aware that there have been several other recent scathing reviews that were somehow removed. To me, that raises big red flags.
If you contact her and order a dress, she won’t have time to make it for you, but she’ll tell you she does. I don’t trust her. If you think she’ll make an exception just for you, you may want to think again. No matter how hard I try to reach her, I get no responses.
She says on her board that she has 900 emails to reply to and doesn’t have time to reply to them.
She does seem to make time to take on NEW orders, which pop up on her board daily. She also makes time to respond to feedback on her board.
She’s very nice in her communications when she actually does communicate, but I really do advise you not to purchase from her, unless you are not rushed and don’t mind a lot of anxiety.
I have a stressful full time job and don’t have time to be chasing Wonderxue down every day to know whether I’ll have a dress on time for my wedding.
I agree totally with immanorcalbee — Wonderxue needs to know how to limit her orders so that she can get customers their dresses on time and in good quality . . . .
Just hoping to prevent some brides out there from going through what I’ve been through with this seller.
