My dress is an ivory dress from bcbg max azria it also has a black sash. I love it, but not sure anymore. I'll get married only once and maybe I should get a wedding dress. I'll try finding a picture.
Yep, mine is a white evening gown from Nordstrom. I added a crinoline and it's perfect. :-)
I'm considering a prom dress! The store I tried it on in already had it in white and knew I was shopping for a wedding gown. Best dress I've seen so far. A dress is a dress, as far as I am concerned. Do I want to pay extra because the word "wedding" is attached to the word "dress"? In one word, "NO". I WOULD pay extra for attention to fine detailing, and for things like inner corsets, etc, but it isn't just "wedding" dresses that have that. I am also considering a golden beige colour for my dress, and many "wedding" dresses only come in white and ivory.

My dress is a summer dress. Not a wedding dress, at all. A plain linen sheath. I'm not great at being "girly" so it was a good choice for me. I'm adding a purple cardigan to it, as well.
I wanted a short dress, so I got a bridesmaid's dress in white, and added a bridal sash.
I am not wearing a wedding dress. I found a bridesmaid dress in persimmon that I am wearing and has a small train. Found it at David's bridal

What I mean is, is anyone out there wearing a formal dress that just happens to be white? Or an ivory bridesmaid's dress? Or something in any color that wasn't sold/marketed as a bridal gown?
The dress that I have in my closet right now that I may or may not wear was actually a prom dress!
