Mine is straight! I definitely wouldn't want my chest spilling out at all, although I probably would have preferred a soft scoop/very subtle sweetheart.

@anotheroneofmany: I'm leaving mine straight. I think a sweetheart neckline on my dress would just be over-the-top. And, I don't want cleavage at my wedding.
I didn't take any pictures of me in my dress yet, but here is the stock photo. Please ignore the ridiculous model pose.
Also my neckline comes up quite high and there is no cleavage, which i think is good for a church wedding!

Mine is straight. I felt like there was too much "space" when I wore a sweetheart neckline. They just didn't look good on me.
I went for the straight look as well. I'm not a fan of how sweethearts look on me either. I felt it was simple and uncomplicated look. My dress really didn't need one!
I like straight necklines, but I have a smaller chest, so a sweetheart wasn't a problem for me. And the straight necklines always accentuated that fat by my armpits :/ , something probably only I noticed , but still.
@Miss Smashville: Your. dress. is .gorgeous.
All of your ladies dresses are beautiful , I just have a thing for all lace dresses with a sash lol.
@Evie19: The detail on this dress is beautiful!!! Love it.
@organizedbride11: Thank you so much! Thats a bad pic, it looks nicer in person. :)
I wouldn't say I prefer straight necklines - I like both of them on me. But the dress I fell for had a straight neckline so that is what I wore.
@Anniebo: Thank you
I'm excited to wear it in 17 days!!!
I had one. I really wanted a sweetheart neckline but it would of changed the entire look of my dress. It kind of sweethearted on it's own because of my big bust. LOL

Mine is actually a deep V... but had I gone strapless my preference was definitely for straight over sweetheart.
I am really hoping to find a square neck gown, like my dream Elie Saab dress (but not a bajillion dollars).

I dwelled on this one for a looooong time. Even went into paint and played around to see what it would look like. But no change in the end!
With sweetheart:
Without, the way I prefer it:
Straight across for me! I probably should have gone with a sweetheart...maybe it would make my bust look bigger? But I preferred straight.
straight for me! [I don't have a pic of me in it (yet! hopefully this weekend!)] but here's the DB picture-
(and it looks even better on me IRL!)

Mine is a very unnoticable sweetheart. But it looks straight to me! I must admit, I will prob end up doing a sweatheart though.. I feel like the straight across looks like a bandage around my boobs lol
I usually prefer straight, and I don't think sweetheart looks very good on me. I'm also not a fan of the pointed/drastic sweetheart.

Interesting, as a full-figured bride I think sweetheart creates less boobage, lol. These are all beautiful dresses though!
@june42011: Right??? I feel like I'll pine after it forever *dramatic sigh* :)
@galloway111: I think it makes a chesty girl have less of a "shelf". That doesn't mean it's less revealing, which is one of the reasons I didn't want a sweetheart. I start to get some major cleavage...
@bellagio: Yeah, straight necklines seem to push everything up toward my chin and it's weird... I don't like deep sweethearts, just a little one that doesn't show cleavage but allows some extra room :)
these dresses are amazing! :D i'm so excited to see everyone's style choices! it gives me inspiration!
Mine is straight! I am rather busty and its important to me to know I am secure and held in. I don't want a ton of boobage, which would happen if I had a different neckline.
Mine is the Priscilla of Boston 4307, it is a straight scalloped neck line... I LOVE it!!!!
Sweetheart necklines do not look good on me. I had to wear a bridesmaid's dress with one and it looked terrible. Not to mention my "girls" were spilling out of it all night. So my wedding dress is straight across. I am probably adding straps to it though so I guess it would give it more of a square look?
Here is me in the sample (not sitting as high up as it will when I get it in the right size):
Mine is straight. The sweetheart gave me wayyyyyy too much cleavage. It was scary, really. It even looks a little sweetheart-ish because of them in pictures, but it isn't. Gosh I love this thing. Lol.
Mine has a slight dip which I'm leaving it as is. I tried on a million dresses and nothing with a sweetheart neckline was flattering. I personally don't think deep sweetheart necklines work on small busts. They overwhelm the frame.
I do like sweethearts, but i didn't care either way. I tried on some with and some without. I most loved the slight scoop, and I've always had a "soft spot" for scalloped neck lines and by some miracle of fate, my dress does have a scalloped neck line. The pics are me trying it on for the first time so it needs to be steamed before the scallops really show up...but it's still straight-not-sweetheart:

I have seen post after post of brides changing their straight-across strapless necklines to sweetheart necklines.... Is there ANYone who prefers it straight? I personally think it's nice to know that the "girls" feel like they are in the dress more securely with the straight cut, and I really don't want to accentuate boobage on my wedding day anyway! :) What are your thoughts? Anyone have pics of their dresses with awesome straight necklines?
