Okay, I know this sounds dumb. Dear Fiance & I went ring shopping too late & are now in for over $1000 worth of rings that we just cannot afford at this point. We have a few other things to pay off & unforunately rings are @ the bottom of the list. If anything we will finish paying of his ring in time & just wait on mine since I have my engagement ring. But at the same time I feel robbed of the whole getting your wedding ring on your wedding day thing. It’s hard to find just a cheap band because my e-ring is shaped weird & will not fit w/ a regular band. Is anyone else (I HIGHLY doubt this) in the same boat?

Many people upgrade their rings post-marriage … so why not just get plain inexpensive band for your Darling Husband for the ceremony(sterling, gold filled) until yours come in? You can just use your engagement ring for the ceremony.
Or … even better, do a vow renewal on your 1 yr. anniv. and use the new wedding bands at that point!

I am! Don’t worry chick, sooo many people upgrade their rings over the years, and a lot of people look fondly on that cheaper ring they got when they were young and without money but with a lot of love.
We decided that since we’re trying to ease the money issues, anything that can be bought and paid for after the wedding…will be! I.e. wedding bands.
