I wore a gold dress and carried blush and pink peonies. My girls carried pink and blush calla lillies. The girls wore marine blue, so that was already lots of color. I wanted to bring the Lake and water into the forest.
Mine is technically champagne/ivory/light gold. Phew that's a mouthful. Here's a pic. Be a slightly off-beat bride and take the plunge! My flowers will be dhalias and garden roses in the following colors as well :o)
I'm wearing a similar colored dress and our guys and girls will be in dark brown. Ours is a fall wedding with lots of rusts and deep reds. Our ceremony is also outdoors with an old world Mexico feeling.
I think any jewel toned shade would be pretty against the outdoor backdrop and your colors - deep red or maroon, green, or even an orange. If you have trouble finding colors that you want in flowers, maybe leave the flowers in a more neutral color (ivory?) and add the "pop" with ribbon and other accents.
My dress is considered Light Gold (Maggie Sottero), and I am carrying light pink flowers.
OMG I am sooooo excited to find this thread! My dress is white/gold/silver (Private Label by G, Limited Edition), but it looks gold. My maid of honor is wearing a dark fuschia and my 4 bridesmaids are wearing navy. My dream has always been to have less flowers and more branches, candles, mirrors, etc, so the actual floral scheme will probably be pretty simple. I LOVE bright colors and am really excited.

We had brown bridesmaid dresses and brown tuxes. Our flowers were peach. I had peach roses and garden roses in the girls' bouquets and the guys' bouts. It turned out great!
Otherwise, I'd go with dusty roses and mauves.
I had a light gold dress (Maggie Sottero). Our colors were mostly brown, cinnamon, red & orange.
My dress for our official wedding is gold (and short!) I love it. Its a Carmen Marc Valvo dress.
my dress is going to be a silvery gray. this is the color that I want but this isn't going to be my dress.

I love the brownish orange rose. I think that would look awesome with your dress!!
That dress is SO beautiful! I love it. This post has got me thinking about venturing out of the white dresses when I go dress shopping.
I sure hope that I am!! It will either be gold or silver but definitely not ivory :D
Mine is gold and my BM's will be wearing Navy blue. I was so worried that pink flowers wouldn't work, so thank you DG!!!
ETA: I highly recommend trying out a "non-traditional" color. Very few people look fab in white.
Here's my dress! It doesn't look very gold in the picture... but it has gold and taupe accents... I love it!

I really fell in love with a gold Allure gown- We are having an outdoor cermony/reception with brown, gold being our colors. Very natural using river rocks, alot of bark, some burlap and mason jars. However I am struggling with my pop color. I want our girls and guys in browns so I was thinking our flowers should be our pop of color. However what should that be? I like Coffee roses which are a brownish orange, I love sunflowers but yellow against gold not loving that. Anyone else struggle with this, any ideas!
