I like wearing spanx under my business suits. It smooths everything out.
I would like to wear spanx because I have heard that it works wonders; however, I am short and I have heard that it crinkles on short waisted people, so I am afraid to purchase some.
if you get spanx that has straps or is like a body suit type then it doesnt crinkle (i have a short torso too!) and i LOVE mine. i wear it with suits and clothes at work too - smoothes everything out.
i will be wearing a corset under my wedding gown, but you better believe if i wasnt i would be rocking the spanx!!!
I love my hide and sleek hi rise panties from Spanx, I plan on wearing them under my dress, and I am only 5'3" and have longish legs (for my height) and have no problems with the crinkling. I also have another pair of spanx with the longer shorts type thigh shapers. Those seem to move around a little more and are harder to get on and off, (even though there is a hole in the crotch so you can keep them on and still use the restroom... which I haven't tried yet!)
so I would suggest going somewhere and trying on a bunch of different styles to see what works best for you. I went to Nordstroms, they had like ten different kinds.

i have the first one on here and its awesome - i used it when initially trying on bridal dresses. it doesnt offer much support for my "girls" but im bigger busted. its got teh same amount of support a strapless bra would have, but with tummy but and backfat control :)
I will have to look into those. I am busty too. I just want something to pull in my tummy.
if its just the tummy area, i would suggest a waist cincher! :) i have these too - similar to a corset but not as restrictive:

they didn't work for me. They were way too long on the torso - went above my boobs when they were supposed to rest below them!
That looks like it might work better than the spanx for me. And it does up in the front. I just got a corset from them today, and I am having issues trying to put it on by myself.
Does it fit true to size? There aren't any reveiws.
I wore Spanx Higher Power--the kind that come up to just under the bust--at my wedding. I wore a long-line bra over them, so the top of the Spanx was under the bra, and the line could not be seen. It doesn't make you way smaller, but it kind of smooths out the lumps, giving you a better overall line.
its pretty true to size. i have another cincher from them - and i got a large - if you look at their "dress size chart" they have the bust waist hip measurements that goes with their "sizes" if you go by that you should be good to go :)
I'm wearing th Spanx Slim Cognito Hi-Rise body smoother. I spoke to the reps on the phone and they said it was the one with the most compression and it is gusseted so you can pee (very important!).

i was wondering if anyone was wearing spanx underneath your dress? or if you have, your feedback on how it worked, looked, and if any lines were seen... also, what type did you get? thanks!!!
