We're considering Aruba for our honeymoon in July, but I keep hearing how windy it is.  Now, I HATE the wind - but usually I associate the wind with cold, so that's the biggest reason.  However, I'm also annoyed by my hair in my face and sand blowing in my eyes and my towel being blown across the beach.  Is the wind really that bad?

The other locations we are considering are:

    costa rica
    cayman islands
    guadeloupe
    jamaica
    martinique
    st lucia

Does anyone have any recommendations on those places??

From what you're saying Aruba might not be the place for you.  Though it is beautiful, it is really windy...hair in your face, sometimes sand blown your way, and yes the towel blown away in the sand sometimes too!

Aparently St. lucia is a big hit lately. I've been seeing it in all the travel mags and wedding mags. I also keep hearing about it on the travel channel. I'd love to go to Jade Mountain resort in St. Lucia.

St. Lucia is heaven on earth. You will LOVE it. Absolutely beautiful, the locals are charming, and the scenery is just amazing...

My parents just got back from Aruba and they said there is a constant 10-20 mph wind. They loved it because it kept them cooler when it was 88-90 degrees.
