Is four months a good amount of time to find a florist?

I certainly hope it's possible, cause I'll need to do it too! Our date is August 7th... guess I'd better update my profile.

Hmm, we got ours like 6 months in advance - it was like the last big thing we left on our to do list. I wasn't too worried about us because we're getting married on a Friday - so there is typically a lot more availability. I would go ahead and do it ASAP. The best or most affordable ones probably book up first.

Also, it gave my mind a lot of ease as soon as we nailed down our florist. I don't really know why - maybe because they're a major part of the decor. I don't know. I guess I hadn't explained "my vision" in huge detail to any vendors yet and it was comforting to kind of put it into someone else's hands.

August is a busy wedding month. Florist normaly have a 'cap' on how many weddings they will do in a weekend. The earlier you book, the better.

I definitely agree, the earlier you can book, the better! I would go ahead and consult with your florist (if you have one in mind and if not, get to looking!) and get a contract together. If they're flexible, they can maybe let you put a holding deposit on the date and then when you get more money together, put a bigger deposit down. Please go ahead and start looking, if anything. You want to be ready to book when you get the money!
