So I’m not sure if this has even been discussed before but do you know if infertility is generic? we aren’t even ttc but I alwado worry that I’m not going to be able to get pregnant as my period got a lot lighter when I went off the pill than before I was on it. I found out today that another of my cousins can’t get pregnant. We have a massive family and that is 2 I know of and so I know that it probably isn’t something to worry about but I do. I don’t know what I would do if I couldn’t have children I’d be devastated.

The short answer is: maybe. It depends what causes the infertility. There are some genetic reasons that a person could be infertile, but there are also lots of things related to lifestyle that can do it. Don’t stress over your cousin’s infertility. It’ll just drive you crazy and you won’t really know your own situation until you start trying.
Good luck! 🙂

@Mrs2b2014: It can be- but I wouldn’t worry about it too much until or unless you’re having trouble conceiving.
I can only speak from experience, but my mother has endometriosis (which is genetic) and I also have it. She had trouble conceiving my younger sister, and I’ve had trouble conceiving thus far.

Do you mean genetic? If so, some conditions that can cause infertility are genetic, others are not.
