Is it a terrible idea to just wear a thong?

I would think a thong would be a fairly safe choice. Even seamless undies can leave weird lines if they don’t fit perfectly.

As long as you have a comfy thong (I know some can be a pain in the ass – pun intended), I would think it would be fine!

i’m earing a thong shapewear since i dont want to be hot under my dress and i find a thong the most comfortable. If you wont have any panty lines just wear whatever you want.

Keep in mind you’ll probably need help into your dress, so wear something you won’t be too shy in, lol.

I wear thongs daily so that’s probably what I’ll wear under my dress too. Not weird!

I think a thong is the best bet – also makes it way easier for going to the bathroom in your dress!

@rachy2405:  I also didn’t need any shapewear under my dress as I had cups sewed in & our ceremony was in Mexico so the last thing I wanted was layers in that heat. I worse seamless cotton undies from VS since the bottom portion of my dress was poofy, no-one would have noticed lines if I had them. It HAD to be cotton too b/c that heat was ridiculous! I had a thong for backup but ended up going with full coverage mainly b/c some thongs are too long in the back part & just end up hanging loosly off my hips…

Lol, you are lucky you can get away without form fitting foundation garments or shapewear !!

When it comes to undies, I would say COMFORT is key (you can change into your sexy lingerie when you get back to your Honeymoon Hotel Suite… most gals want to have a nice long shower any how to wash that 3 inches of hairspray out of your hair if nothing else !!)

Like some other Brides, I was worried about getting “hot”… so I opted for very basic cotton panties… both times I’ve been married, my dress has had lots of layers / flowy (not clingy) so visible panty lines were never a problem.

No regrets.

Hope this helps,

Girl, if you have self-supporting boobs and don’t need anything to be shoved & held in place via shapewear, I say go for it!!! 😀

@rachy2405:  Exact same sit. Cups sewn in, no shapewear needed but totally perplexed on if I’m ‘supposed’ to wear anything besides underware.

@rachy2405:  Ahh yes! That’s my love (other than FI, of course!) I’m happy we only need underwear! Less to remember or forget… depends if you’re the glass half-full or half-empty type.
