i don’t know if it’s bad luck, but i wouldn’t want anyone to try it on (once it’s officially mine) before i wore it! if it’s a sample or a used dress, that’s different imo.

I wouldn’t want anyone to try on my dress, especially if I have it paid for. But, alot of people think it is bad luck. It just kinda depends if you believe that stuff. Just like it’s bad luck if another girl trys on your wedding ring.

I used to model wedding dresses, and I was always told it was bad luck to try on or wear a dress before you have been engaged. At a point in time I would have thought that was the case, but I can say now its FALSE!! If you believe in superstitions then you are going to find a way to see that as BAD luck! If you are questioning this because you are planning to sell your dress after you wedding and the person trying on is also engaged, then I don’t see how it could be bad luck. It is what you make of it.

I wouldn’t say that its bad luck but I agree with others on this post that I would not let anyone try on my dress….  Not sure why anyone would want to…

@CantWaittillMAY: I have heard that it’s bad luck to try on a wedding dress of someone who has been married and now divorced.  I have never heard of it being back luck to have someone try your dress on before you get married in it but it’s not something I would want to do.
