Thanks, unfortunately I don't have pictures. The bridal boutique does not allow pictures.
I think it is very common... I did the same thing, but i was pushed into buying a dress I didn't really like by my mother. My advice is if you don't have the funds to buy a new one, quit looking! Other wise you are bound to find one that you like better, decide you have made the biggest mistake of your life and make yourself miserable.
That is a stunning dress! See, I shouldn't have looked because now I'm getting dress envy =)
It's not over the top at all. For the look you're going for, I think this is perfect!
thanks ladies. I think I just am second guessing everything at this moment. Do you all ever wonder if your FI will like the dress?
First, the dress is GORGEOUS, and I'm sure your FI will like it.
Second, yep, second guessing it is COMPLETELY normal. Look through the posts here, and it's hard to find one bride who didn't second guess their choice :)
I have a Rosa Clara too! I think it's harder because of the model pics...they're hard to see and so unlike real bodies...obviously the dress will be MUCH shorter.
That dress looks perfect for a Puerto Rico wedding! It's Spanish, but still modern.
Haven't you been reading these boards? Second-guessing our dress choice is not only common, it's practically UNIVERSAL. Luckily you've chosen a really great dress! (Seriously...I have very simple taste in gowns and still love yours. It's classic and beautiful with really lovely detail!) When's the last time you've tried it on? Perhaps that's all you need to reassure yourself.

Hello Hive,
When I began my dress search, I knew certain things. I am not a ball gown type girl, and I prefer trumpet/mermaind dresses. However, I was not wedded to that idea. I just wanted something romantic and spanish looking. After trying many dresses back in february, I found "the one." For me it was perfect. I found the lace romantic and the bottom layers very spanish (helps that it's a spanish designer). I thought it would fit in perfectly with our wedding in Old San Juan, Puerto Rico. Even though it was over budget, I bit the bullet. It was also the only dress that evoked any emotion. Before that I had a three way tie and even considered letting my FI choose.
So why am I now doubting it? Is it too over the top? The layers begin higher than a trumpet or mermaid gown, but it does have the longer torso.
Is it common to second guess something that I was once so sure about?
