FI is 6'0 and about 270 lbs (he's a pretty big guy).
Tuxes aren't too hard to find because most shops will order in whatever is needed. So they'll be able to find him the perfect fitting tux without any problems.
OMG my baby bro is 6 foot 9 and we have to add fabric to his shirt because they dont come longer than a 39" sleeve. He is impossible because he is so tall! They come bigger as long as he us under 6 foot 5 you should be ok! Mens warehouse has them and so does JC penney!
He may not have tuxes to try on, but Men's Wharehouse (and most tux shops) have plus sizes to order. It's a lot like wedding dress shopping. They have a sample size, and he probably won't fit that, but they can measure him and he can order whatever he wants out of the catalogue!
OK - I just wanted to be prepared if he couldn't try anything on. He has the SHORTEST legs in the world (he buys the shortest length pants come in and gets them hemmed.. they look like floods!), and is a pretty big guy on top. I'm concerned about ordering something without him being able to try it on, but if he and I are prepared for that, I guess it's OK. We're going to try to head to the Men's Wearhouse this or next weekend for our October wedding.
My fiance is almost the exact same size. We took him to get sized the other day, and he is a 50R (jacket size) but his pants are 38 30! He has the shortest legs known to man. After we got him sized, we went to macys, because they are having a sale right now on suits, but we couldnt find anything bigger than a 48R. I think he might have found ONE. Men's wearhouse has larger sizes, but we want to buy him one that they dont carry.
Good luck! Shop around after you figure out his size, you might be better off to buy one.
FH is 6'6", and Nedrebo's carried his size. The best part was that they ordered a "sample" tux for him to try on to make sure we got the measurements right. I don't know if all of them offer that, or ours did it because there's a Nedrebo's warehouse in town where all the tuxes ship from.

My fiance is a 3XL in most clothing, and I'm concerned that when we go to look at tuxedos in a few weeks, there is going to be nothing in his size for him to try on. Any brides with larger grooms? What was your experience like?
