I’m nervous/excited for mine too (: I don’t like opening gifts in front of people or being the centre of attention aha. I think we’ll play some music so it’s not so silent when I open gifts and that might take the pressure off me a bit. I’m also just planning on thanking everyone individually, I hate public speaking so I’m definitely not doing a speech aha.

I was nervous/excited too…the weird part was when we opened gifts and everyone sat in a circle around me and watched.  I got all hot in the face, and I’m not a shy person.  Its just so much attention on you.  But, it was fun, and it will go by in a blink so enjoy it!

I didnt’ get any sexy items, just plain ol registry stuff.  I think friends understand that moms/grandmas/aunts will be attending.  My MIL gave me some weird stuff, like a cross stitch pillow with a wine bottle on it?  huh?  That’s always awkward in a group….but otherwise it is fun.  I am very expressive as well, and of all the photos I got back, half were of my mouth open making a weird face.  Ugh!  So, I suggest if someone is taking pics of EVERY FREAKING PRESENT like at mine, you stop, look at the camera and smile.  Funny!

My shower is tomorrow too!  I am also very nervous/excited which is crazy because I’m close to everyone who is coming and my family is huge so we are always having large get-togethers.  But I don’t really like being the center of attention so I think that’s why it is different.  It’s weird to know that they are all coming for me lol.

I was super nervous for my showers (2)!  I wanted to vomit before I went.  I do not like being the center of attention but it was actually alright once I arrived and was settled.  My best advice is to doll yourself up and smile!  I had also read about bridal etiquette for wedding showers and I was told that I was very gracious and polite which made my confidence soar!

I am lucky that I did not get any “Sexy” items.

I was nervous/excited for mine which was last weekend – but it ended up being so much fun! I also thought the idea of opening a whole lot of gifts in front of everyone is awkward – and I agree – make sure if people are taking pictures, try to stop and smile – because a lot of my pics were weird faces and looked crazy haha

Have fun!

Meant2Bee:  Definitely have some one keep track….I had my MOH who threw the shower.  Later, you’ll be confused about who sent what…and it helps for thank you notes.
