@FreckledFox:  Nope. I joined ff(tcoyf too) in aug 2011after the wedding and we didn’t start Ttc until April 2012. But all that data let me know that I wasn’t ovulating, sowhen it came time toserially try, we ere ahead of the game, and didn’t have to wait an additional 6-12 months before going to the drs.

I did this too!  I joined FF about 3 months before the wedding so I could do all of the charting lessons and learn what I needed to do when I was ready to start charting after the wedding.  I guess FF starts a chart for you when you sign up so it thought I had a really long cycle (3 months long!) even though I hadn’t been recording any data so I had to manually exclude it so it wouldn’t throw off all of my statistics 🙂

Not weird at all! I joined in April (?) and we weren’t planning on TTC until Sept. It’s come in super handy at figuring out what’s going on, especially since I’ve had very irregular cycles after coming off the pill.

Good luck!

Not at all! Before I even thought about having a baby I would go to different websites like that… curiosity I guess.

I wish i would’ve done that.  My hubby and i are just ttc.  It is now our fourth month and i just discovered opks and temping, which is why is prob good what you are doing, so when it comes time to it, you have an idea of what to do, unlike me that was sooooo clueless lol…..

@FreckledFox:  You are doing the right thing, there are so many aspects to TTC and this way when your ready, you will have a lot of information under your belt!

But in my experience with those who are NTNTP but are also charting, end up trying in the next month or two…it’s obsessive…I compare it to gambling 🙂

@FreckledFox:  I think it’s a great thing. Good to know what you are doing and get to know your body before TTC.

@FreckledFox:  Nope, not weird at all.  I joined in March and wasn’t going to start TTC until September…and I’m so glad I did! I had a very good idea of what was going on with my body by the time we started TTC.

@FreckledFox:  I wish I had done what you’re doing! My cycle lengths are wonky, and I wish I’d paid more attention before we were actually trying so I knew what was going on!

I was using the FF app several months before we planned to TTC because I stopped the pill after 8+ years and I wanted to make sure my body was doing what it was supposed to!
