Yes I think that dress is totally fine, and super duper cute! Your aunt is going to look fabulous in it!
that dress is adorable, and I think it could totally be considered a "cocktail dress"!! Besides, to be honest, I don't think anyone else will really notice what your relatives wear, unless she has a really special role?
Sure I think it's ok! It's a beautiful dress, I think could be considered cocktain, so is the only problem just because it's black? I think it would also look really pretty with a nice brooch!
I think that dress is super cute, and chic enough (especially with the right jewelry, shoes, and maybe clutch) to hold its own with more formal attire. Very nice choice!
That dress is adorable. I don't think there is anything wrong with wearing a black dress to an evening wedding. You could suggest through the grapevine that she wear some glitzy or colorful jewelry to brighten it up a bit.
I love it! The last few weddings I went to there were quite a few women wearing black; in today's modern times the rules aren't as strict.
I think it's completely fine. It's very cute, and she could add a brighter colored clutch or shoes if you are worried about the color. Nice choice!
I love it! It's so chic. I think that wearing black to a wedding isn't faux pa like it used to be. The last few weddings I've been to there have been numerous people wearing black. If she's worried about the color, she could choose a color to accent with (shoes, clutch, jewelry, wrap, etc.)
I love that dress! I think it would be okay if your aunt wore that.
Thanks y'all, I told her it would be ok, but I wanted to check with y'all too. I linked her to this post so she can see.
Yes! I think its beautiful. Its a very classy dress, and very chic. She will look beautiful in the dress!
I think its really cute. wow where is she getting if from can you pm me to let me know.
It's super cute, and finding dresses that "cover you up" that don't look like they are for 68 year old ladies is really hard. I think she did a great job dress shopping, and it looks like it's a Nordies dress, which means she is interested in investing in looking nice for the wedding, you know?
I think that's very nice.
My BMS all wore floor length gowns and so did my mom. MIL wore something simliar to the dress you posted and it looked fine with the other girls.
Definitely okay. Lots of people wear black to weddings these days!
OMG. i want that dress. where did she find this? And yes, black is totall ok!!! :)
I found the dress and when you zoom in you get to see the beautiful rhinestone button detail on the sleeve, love it that much more!
The dress is perfect! It was sweet that she asked your opinion also.

Mr. CC's aunt wants to wear the cutest ever dress to the wedding, only problem is it's black. It's an evening affair and all the bridesmaids are wearing floor length gowns. We aren't requiring any particular dress, but I'm hoping for cocktail dresses and suits. So, is it ok for his aunt to wear this dress?
