I wouldn’t say it looks ridiculous, but it’s definitely not ideal and with professional photography you will likely notice the difference in tones. Have you considered either lightly dying your veil with tea or getting a new matching veil? You can get veils like that very cheaply online ($20 or so).

I would absolutely notice the difference in whites. Is it possible to tint it somehow?

MissLivermore:  Is she open to letting you dye it to match? Or does she want to keep it intact?

MissLivermore:  In that picture it deosn’t look bad. But the picture is not great, I would be hesitant wearing the two colours together, I think it would look off. I like the dress with a veil, try to find one the same colour of the dress.

Just read the veil is sentimental, I agree with PP… see if you can dye it.

Tea dye! I tea dyed my mother’s veil (it was white). I was nervous about doing it, but it came out beautifully.

MissLivermore:  If it is important to you to wear it since it was your aunt’s, how about changing it to a one tier? The white color not being repeatedly layered may make it a more subtle difference in color against your dress. I also think one tier would look better with your dress 🙂

Hope this helps! And you look beautiful!

The veil and dress really don’t go together

It looks fine. Pp need to quit nit picking. I had an off white veil and diamond white dress. It looked fine in pictures.

The color difference may make your dress look dirty or dingy.  I’d have someone inpartial look at it in real life so they could really see how much the shades contrast.

I wouldn’t wear a mix of ivory and white, just my personal opinion. One will make the other look dingy.
