My Fiance and I want to have an outdoor wedding, and where I am from, there aren’t a whole lot of options. There are plenty of place to have an outdoor ceremony, but finding a reception site is difficult. Well, we finally found a place that seems so perfect! It’s close to our location (about a 20 minute drive) It’s a beautiful garden to have a ceremony at, but also have a permanent tent set up for receptions, it’s beautiful. It is owned and operated by a small family, and they estimate they gave us was $2000. That includes access to the entire land, use of the tent, tables, chairs, bathroom, electricity, and it holds up to $250 people.
I am trying to make the wedding an inexpensive as possible, really the only thing that matters is our marriage. We are inviting 90-some people, so probably only 70-ish will actually go. It’s going to be during the day 12;30-5pm, on a friday. I know that those aren’t the usual day and times of a wedding, and I was wondering if I could use that to try and lower the price.
I read online by other brides that non-saturday weddings and day time weddings are cheaper, so I was wondering if part of that was because you can negociate the prices of venues?
