Ha, you might get REALLY sick of it after a while, but other than that... no, nothing in cottage cheese that I can think of! Make sure you're eating veggies/ fruits/ heavy protein, though!
You should try to eat other things since there aren't a lot of nutrients in cottage cheese or any one food for that matter. You might be losing weight by eating that because it doesn't really have a lot of calories but it is sort of like a crash diet since you aren't eating a balanced diet with vegetables, fruit, protein, and grains.
As long as you're staying within your calories and balancing it with veggies/fruits/carbs, you should be okay.
I love cottage cheese and definitely don't think there's anything wrong with eating every day, just make sure you're getting your other nutrients as well... there's nothing bad in cottage cheese per se, but it's not a totally balanced source of nutrients... nothing is!
Ha...I thought I was the only one with a cottage cheese addiction! My fiance can't stand the stuff and he is so confused as to why it has taken over the fridge!
there's quite a bit of salt in cottage cheese so make sure you drink a lot of water too if you're eating a ton, or else you'll end up way bloated! As other said, just be sure you're eating some other things too. some cottage cheese everyday is fine, but a ton everyday and that being all you eat, is bad lol
i agree with all posts above... i'd just make sure you are not trying to crash diet or anything and being too restrictive with all other foods (healthy grains, fruits & veggies ).. that can result in major weight gain after you eat your "normal " foods when the wedding is over.
Agree about the salt... my friend did that once with pickles (I think it was bc they were no points on WW) and gained 2 pounds in a week.
@kjpugs omgosh! A week of pickles?? I LOVE pickles, but that would make me feel awful lol I can't imagine all that acid in her stomach would make her feel very well... I eat like 4 and while I'm still hungry and could go for more, I feel the acid at work already lol
Thanks, ladies! I should say that it's not the only thing I'm eating. I eat a lot of fruit and lean meats as well, but I just eat A LOT of cottage cheese. I've never been one to crash diet or anything like that, I just keep it as a staple because it's so high in protein and low in fat and calories.
In regards to the salt, how much salt should I be getting per day (or how much is too much?)? I weigh about 127 pounds and I'm 5'6".
And wow... that is a lot of pickles.
I agree with what everyone else is saying. I'd also be careful because too much dairy is um... not sure how to say it but it's very... binding?
BTW - I doubt you need to worry about dieting since you're practically my goal weight & about 4 inches taller than me. LOL
I don't know if they have a salt intake guideline per weight. We really only need a very little salt in our bodies, so they basically just have a range to not exceed like 1500-2400 miligrams, but the less the better. A teaspoon of salt 2,325 mg as a bit of a guide. Americans really over consume salt!

...to eat too much of the same thing? My wedding is only 18 days away (eeeeek!), so I'm really buckling down to lose the last few pounds. I LOVE cottage cheese, so I basically eat a ton of it every day. It's good for me and it fills me up, so I eat a ton of the stuff. Anyway, just want to make sure that there isn't some secret bad ingredient in that's going to affect me negatively.
I know, totally random post. I just thought I'd ask :-)
