I’m a bit worried, and I’m hoping that some of you can help.
Backstory: I had a natural miscarriage that started 2 weeks ago today. I have an ongoing issue with hypothyroidism, which I believe might have been a factor (test results that I received that day after I miscarried showed elevated TSH levels). The pregnany was unexpected, and I hadn’t been taking my thyroid meds in the weeks before I get pregnant. I’d been doing really well and had hoped that I didn’t need them anymore. That obviously wasn’t true.
I *finally* managed to get my thyroid prescription filled (long story), and I’m picking it up today.
In the meantime, my husband and I had unprotected sex Friday night and yesterday morning. My OB, although she advised us to wait 2 cycles to try again, assured me that I wasn’t likely to ovulated for another week or two. Condoms don’t work for us–I react to both latex and non-latex condoms, oddly–and I’m obviously not on the pill. The OB said it would be better to get pregant sooner than is ideal than to risk an allergic reaction, so I should try to avoid, but not worry to much.
I’m pretty sure I just had EWCM, and now I’m worried that I’m ovulating. Last time, I got pregnant by BDing *once* early my fertile window, and I’m concerned it could happen again.
So please, somebody, tell me that it’s too early for me to possibly be ovulating. I’m not sure that I’m ready to be spotting pregnancy symptoms again.
