I just wrote the other day on here how upset I am that the current (read: only) stamp for postcards are Hawaiian shirts with aloha underneath.  I am so bummed!  We are having a winter wedding in a barn.  Definitely doesn’t fit the theme AT ALL!

ETA: Never have I cared about stamps.  I’m actually considering getting custom stamps which is dumb b/c they would wind up costing more than just puting a regular stamp on them!

Our stamps had two goats on them, and I thought they looked a little ridiculous on our wedding invitations. The fact that there were TWO goats made it even worse—like they were a couple, and I had intentionally picked that stamp. Lol. But yup, never thought twice about stamps until wedding invitations!

I gotta tell you the stamps at post office sucks!  not to mention most stamps you see online they don’t have it in stock, turns out my envelope is 1/8″ taller than their size and they charged me doubled for all postage.

So needless to say, I don’t get to use the one wedding stamp…

and have to choose multiple stamps for it.  They don’t match our invite and don’t certainly match the colors.

never thought I would care about stamps so much….mine looked gross lol

i always loved stamps. I usually go with online bill pay since its cheaper but I feel sad about not having stamps to use. Lately I’ve been ordering them from  online as they havea a much better selection.

I got sorta lucky and found ones with white roses, so I bought enough for my STD and Invites at the same time.  Although when I walked up to the counter and asked if they had any ‘wedding invitation stamps’, the guy pulled the rose stamps out and goes, “here ya go!  These work great for weddings.  And funerals!”

…dafuq?!

I ordered custom stamps with the wedding date on them  to match our invitations. It’s the only time I’ve ever cared about a stamp.

With Canada Post you can ”make your own” stamps. Basically, you give them a photo that isn’t copyrighted/that you have the right to use however you want, and they’ll make a stamp out of it for you. They’re a little expensive though, but I may consider going that route if I can’t find any half decent stamps four our invites. I don’t really want to use a Canadian flag or the Queen (which seem to be what we usually get). Right now they have a bunch of baby wildlife stamps, which would be great for baby shower invites, but not so great for wedding invites. Plus I think those are only available in books of 10 and we’re inviting 200 people (and need 125 invites, add in stamps for RSVPs and that’s 250 stamps or 25 books. I’d rather just get 3 rolls of flag stamps).

Here’s our stamp that I did through Zazzle.com. We only needed like 20 stamps so I could splurge on these. If we had needed 100, I probably would have done normal stamps.

And the invitation:

I hear you: I was so disappointed with the stamps we used for our StheD’s, they were ugly and didn’t match at all.

But I am absolutely in love with the Canada Post snowshoe hare stamps:

I think they’re in he same series that @futuremrste: mentioned, but to me the rabbits look a little older than “baby”, and they look like they’re kissing. Plus, my FI & I have some history with rabbits, and the white goes with our invitations.

@futuremrste:  My mom is super excited about the Canada Post make-your-own. She has offered to get them for me, because as she said ‘then you will be JUST like Kate and Will!’ I think they are a bit expensive though. I would be fine with whatever stamp.

@iheartsquishy:  Those are beautiful! Perfect match to your invites!
