That maybe a dumb question, I know…but I can generally feel when I ovulate (feels like a grainy, uncomfortable cramp that lasts several hours on one or the other side of my uterus). DH and I weren’t terribly careful over the honeymoon due to me not charting faithfully the week before the wedding and the suckiness of having to be so careful on the honeymoon…so I’m just wondering. We’re not TRYING, caz it’s so soon, but given our carelessness and the fact that all day today I’ve felt something similar to my ovulation pain, only at what feels like the tip top of my uterus instead of the ovaries…I’m just wondering.
I know I maybe crazy and imagining things, but I thought I would ask. I can’t seem to find anything on the internet about that. Thanks!

I’m not sure! I didn’t feel mine but I feel like anything can happen! I had ovulation pain post-ovulation once and someone on here said it might be the corpus luteum. I don’t know a lot about that though but am trying to say it could be other things as well. 🙂 hope that helps!

Some people have implantation cramping, when the egg actually implants onto the the uterine wall. Sometimes there’s some light spotting that goes along with it. I think that usually happens around 10-12 days past ovulation.

Some people swear they felt it. I didn’t, or maybe I just didn’t know what I was looking for because I wasn’t expecting to get pregnant.

I’ll add to this, I DID feel it, however, I only knew what it was in retrospect. It didn’t feel any different to me than getting my period. In fact, I was sure that I was just going to get my period early, sure enough that I told DH that was what was going on.
The only difference was that it was 4 days early, and that it went away after a couple of hours, but for me, it wasn’t mild, it wasn’t different, it wasn’t distinctive at all.

@Quietserenity: I also felt like I was going to start! I kept thinking that I wanted the cramps to go away, and that I wanted to just start so I could be done being dissapointed! then I was 2 days late so I took a HPT.
@Angelique02: No. I didn’t feel it. At least, I don’t think thats what the cramping was, but it went on for about 2 weeks, so who knows. = ) It could be.
