There are Korean places where you can rent your gown... i dont know if they're designer though, but you can look through the different gowns. You can also rent the BM's dresses too.
Wedding Time is one that i've heard good things about.
There are a lot of chinese bridal stores in Las Tunas Drive (between Baldwin Ave. and Rosemead) in Temple City that rents wedding gowns.. I'm not sure how high end they are, but I think some of them are pretty nice! Their price includes alterations, maybe give that a try?
i've rented a bridesmaid gown from wedding time and did not have a good experience. all of our gowns didn't fit quite right, and we couldn't pick them up until the day before the wedding, so it was too late by that time to do anything about it. the bride's gown was fine and in decent shape considering it was well used. i don't think it was a designer gown.
if you want a designer gown without the price tag, try consignment stores, preownedweddingdresses.com, and ebay as an alternative to renting. they aren't *that* cheap to rent considering you have nothing left afterward besides the pro photos.
My co-worker rented from One Night Affair and had a really bad experience with them! She decided to rent to save money, but said given the ending cost and the poor customer service, she didn't think it was worth it! just one POV to consider. good luck!
Try Korean Town in LA. I know some places have at least Pronovias and other designer gowns. You may want to check the price range of gowns before. Just because renting is not always cheaper. I found out that it starts at ~$800 to rent considering they have to offer alteration and cleaning for the gown. If you manage to rent custom made or high priced gown, it is not too bad.
I can't remeber the store name but one listed on Pronovias website (located on Western close to 1st street, not on Wilshire) had good collections.
You may want to avoid going to Wilshire Bridal on Wilshire Blvd. I almost rented out there, but decided not to after hearing one bride's complaints about the alteration. They supposely ruined her expensive $$$$$ Amsale dress on the 1st fitting. She was almost about to cry.
Hello,
Has anyone heard of a place that allows you 'rent' a wedding gown? I would love to wear a designer gown on my special day but rather not pay 20K+.
If something like this is out there can someone please lead me in the right direction?
Thank you!
