Is it silly of me to be semi planning this stuff?

I think as long as he’s okay with it, it’s fine! And be absolutely sure it will happen.

If I had gone with DH to pick out the ring and new it would be happening, just not when, I probably would have started planning as well.

anniebean:  As long as you are both on the same page, go right ahead! Congrats 🙂

anniebean:  That is totally how the BF and I are! He’ll probably propose the end of 2015, but he loves it when I look at venues, dresses, shoes, etc. Like someone else said… As long as you are on the same page, there is no harm at all! Congrats.

I personally did not do any wedding planning until I was officially engaged. I would feel weird looking at venues and trying on dresses but maybe I’m just a little more traditional in that respect.

I think its OK if you know a proposal is imminent. I like to get ideas too. I am also getting married for the second time but my situation is opposite. I had a big wedding last time, and I want something small and different this time :). These boards are great because you can have whatever you want and people seem to support you!

anniebean:  Lol I get the slight shame feeling since hasn’t asked yet. I just COULD NOT resist buying our cake topper, Lenox bride and groom kitties! (because I feared they would go out of stock by the time he finally asks – which in all honesty is probably going to be sometime this month!? /fingers crossed) anyhow, he gave me the okay to go ahead and get it but it does almost feel like I’m jinxing it because I did that!

anniebean:  As long as your SO is on board no problem with planning ahead! It may feel silly but not harmful right?

I don’t see the harm in looking at things you might like to do etc… just don’t book anything or try anything on.

anniebean:  No way, not when you guys already haver the ring picked out and have discussed details of what you would like.

It is perfectly OK to be researching and the start the beggining phases of planning
