@MrsUPS:  Lol, from what I learned about Hawaiians – they probably work harder than we do. A family friend moved to Hawaii, and he said that the cost of living there is so high, that it’s the norm to have 2-3 jobs at once. 🙂 It makes me wonder what’s the point of living somewhere so pretty and warm if you have to work all the time!

Yeah, I think that’s stereotypical and pretty unfair.

@MrsUPS:  LOL When DH and I HM’d in the FL Keys we were amazed that the keys had like pharmacies, resale stores, etc.  We were thinking ‘OMG PEOPLE LIVE HERE!’

We’re really kicking ourselves for not moving…. I promise we will when we retire if not before then!

@MrsUPS:  yeah…pretty misguided to think that. I agree with a PP that the cost of living in Hawaii is tremendous. I’ve lived in Jamaica and it’s a 3rd world country, as are most countries in the Bahamas. What you see are tourism ads, where of course people are lying around. Real life in the Bahamas for 99% of the people that live there is work all day and into the night just to afford a little shanty and a few groceries, while tourists come to your neighborhood and tell you how nice it must be to lie on the beach all day.

Although if it really was possible to live in a warm sunny place and not work…hell yeah I’d be all over it 🙂

@MrsUPS:  Hey… at least you’re not in AB, Canada. We have another couple months of really crappy temperatures. I went to work this morning in -26C… that’s -15F for you 🙂

As stereotypical as me having a moustache, a big hat and a donkey.

Brb, time to eat something…

@MrsUPS:  When I go to Mexico, I do see folks taking siestaa all times of day which makes me chuckle at that stereotype. They are incredibly hard working people but it mkes for a laugh every now and then.
