Black is no longer frowned upon unless you wear a black dress, with black shades, and a black hat with a veil. lol I’ve worn black cocktail dresses to weddings with no problem. Nowadays bridesmaids dress in black sometimes! There are black wedding gowns!

i wear black to weddings all the time. I’ve never heard that it wasnt appropriate. Frankly as long as its not white any other color should be fine

I’m from NY where we all often wear black to any occassion. I was even a bridesmaid in a wedding and we were all told to wear a short black dress of our choice. It looked classy and the pictures are awesome.

I now live in California where the trend hasn’t quite caught on but no one frowns upon it.

That dress is really pretty and I say “go for it.”

Ive worn black to a wedding and every wedding ive been too someone wears black I say its a cute dress wear it!
