I have read that you are not supposed to mail out any registry information. You are supposed to either just let people know by word of mouth, or put it on your website but not on the first page.

I don’t know if it’s “tacky” or not but I wouldn’t do it.  Sorry I’m not more help

Agreed. I’ve actually gotten two invitations lately with the registry card in it and I find it a little bit tacky.

Put it on the website and spread through word of mouth. You also have the option with a registry to make it searchable via google.

Just put the website info on your cards and then put the registry info on the website.

Its not necessarily tacky but its bad etiquette. I would def put the website somewhere.

In my “extra info” wedding card, one line of it says “Other fun things: A list of fun activities in Portland, where we are registered, and other bits of info are available on our wedding website:

It’s sort of just tucked in there, without any specific stores or anything. Tried to play it cool and casual. I don’t want to hide it from people (especially since I know almost everyone will be wondering that) but I also don’t want to be tacky like people say and be like “Here are the places to buy me stuff!”

I would personally just add the website to the bottom of the reception card or something.  Add it to something they aren’t going to be sending back, since it’s kind of useless that way.  they won’t have it in possession if they need the url
