We’re ordering my engagement ring on Monday and it’s got a palladium band.
I’ve seen some posts that say it’s difficult to find someone to resize palladium because some people aren’t familiar with it.
Does anyone know if this is true?

Not sure how difficult it is to find a place, but are you ordering it through a store though (aka not online)? If so, that store should be able to resize it for you. My band is pallidium and its fro robbins brothers and they will resize for free for me.

@MaiFuture: No. Mine is coming from MoissaniteCo. I had just been told that most jewelry stores wouldn’t resize it if need be.

I have a palladium band and love it. I would suggest calling around to jewlery stores asking if they work with it. Stay away from chain stores – I found that they don’t usually deal with it (Kay’s, Jared…). We got mine from a small local store which makes custom jewlery and they actually suggested it and I am so glad they did.

I have a palladium ring from moissanite and co and I called a couple places looking to get it resized and both places said they did palladium and it was no problem. I haven’t got it done yet though, because the places I called said it would take from 10 days to two weeks to do and my fiance’s mother said hers took a half hour, so i’m going to try to go the the place she went.

I work for a jewelers. No one can size Palladium nicely except a company that wholesales palladium you will probably have to send it back to the company. It takes a trained jeweler and most regular service stores just don’t work in palladium.

I have an engagement ring with a palladium band (which I love.) I had it re-sized at a small, local jewelry store that makes custom jewely and frequently works with palladium. I didn’t encounter any problems.
