So every where I’ve read, it says the invitations should be sent out 3 months prior to the wedding. In my case, that would be now. However, does anyone else think 3 months is a bit early? I didn’t do Save The Dates since most of my friends and family members already know my date. Do you think two months would give out of town guests enough time to prepare?

I always heard that it was supposed to be 6-8 weeks. So yeah, I think 3 months is a little on the early side.

Everywhere I read (and what I heard) said to send invites 6 to 8 weeks out, depending on how many out of town guests you have. I sent mine out 8 weeks in advance and it gave people plenty of time to respond. You can wait a little while for sure!

Thanks ladies. Good bc I was killing myself writing them out this weekend. Nice to know I can take it easy for a couple of weeks. =)

I think 8 weeks is the standard. 3 months is a bit early unless its a destination wedding that people will be flying out for.

I’m going to send them between 8 and 6 weeks. Depends when they are ready.
