People may see me as a Scrooge but in my honest oppinion, I don’t think Christmas decorations should go up before December.

December 1st I think. Although I’m thinking I may hang my Christmas lights before December, so they are ready to turn on on December 1st!

They are traditional supposed to go up 12 days before Christmas, hence the carol.

I will put them up Nov 28th but I have already started making them. I’m drying fruit slices in my oven right now as I type this!

I’m American but I live in a European country that doesn’t put the christmas tree up until Christmas Eve!! Fun note: because they only have the tree up one day they still use CANDLES on the tree instead of string lights! There are already tree candles in all the grocery stores!!  My SO told me I could have an American christmas so I’m putting everything up right after his birthday (end of Nov)

It’s too early IMO. Anytime after Thanksgiving (US) is fair game to me. It’s not too early for Christmas music though! 🙂

LiebeLicht:  Lol we’re Europeans living in America who usually put the tree up right before Christmas. No candles, though. That seems like a fire hazard. We leave it up through the new year and until the Orthodox Christmas, so I guess it kind of compensates for putting it up so late. 😉

Just because we have something going on every weekend before christmas, we are prolly gonna put up our tree this weekend. Otherwise we would wait until the weekend after thanksgiving.

Madeline789:  You can decorate the inside of your home whenever you want I suppose, but hold off on the Christmas lights outdoors for a while. The people across the street from me have had theirs up for at least a month already and the blinkies are really obnoxious when you’re trying to sleep.
