I’m a newbie to these threads.
We started trying this month and had sex 3 times on my ovulation days. We only used condoms before so i’m not waiting for any contraception to come out of my system. My period is due on Monday/Tuesday and I tested yesterday and this morning and both tests were negative. The control lines are dark blue and the negative lines are faint blue. I have strange cramps – about 4 days worth – but they just feel like I’m getting my period pains. My boobs feel ‘heavy’ but again, I get that anyway just before my period. I have no other symptoms.
I’m not pregnant am I? 🙁 I just felt like there would have been a faint positive line on my tests (early predictor ones) if I were pregnant and that’s nothing there but a negative line. Am I giving up too early?
Ugh….1 month in and this is frustrating :/

I knew almost straight away (within one week to 10 days after my last period) that I was pregnant. I had all sorts of weird symptoms. We weren’t trying to have a baby it just happened, so therefore I have no idea about ovulation charting and I must have then either ovulated early or my last period (which was only 3 days long, not the usual 5) was not a period, but an implantation bleed that occurred at the same time that my period was due. I get my first scan on 5th of September so for now I’m 9 weeks in their records but I could be further.
As we have never ttc, I wouldn’t know what it’s like, but I’ll bet that its really annoying, exciting and makes you feel impatient all at once. But what I’m trying to say is that it will happen when it happens and this advice is probably the dumbest ever but definitely baby dance at times when you havent yet ovulated as sperm can survive for a long time inside you, so I have read anyway.

definitely not to know for sure that you’re not, as your period is not due yet there is still a chance that you are pregnant, wait a couple of days until after your period is due and if it hasn’t arrived test again 🙂 fingers crossed!

Please don’t use blue dye tests. They are notorious for false positives. Get a pink dye test and retest.

@soonerbride: Yep I have had a false positive on a clearblue blue dye – the kind with the crossing lines.

I got my BFP on a blue dye, so they’re not all false positives. I’m 34 weeks pregnant.
can you post a picture of your test? maybe some bees can help you decipher it.
