I signed my hair and makeup contract in February and now I’m having second thoughts about paying so much for my six bridesmaids to have their hair done. I have a friend who is amazing at hair and I’d love for her to be in our suite and get ready with us/help everyone with their hair, but I don’t want to make her feel awkward if there is also a professional MUAH there doing mine. I was thinking I could pay her or give her a really generous sephora gift card (maybe like $300) it would still be cheaper than what we’re paying., and also get her a cute robe like my bridesmaids…is it possible to change my contract? It’s still a few months away so I’d imagine it wouldn’t be like they’d lose business.

You could cancel sure, but I bet you’d lose your deposit. If you’re ok with that, go for it!

@vanessa7: best to speak to your makeup artist and hair dresser directly. If you can’t get your money back, try working out some sort of agreement where you are able to go there and get your hair and makeup done for future events based on the value of your contract or deposit (think of it like a gift card or in-store credit). sure you’re not getting your money back and now you have to pay for the new makeup and hair girl, but at least you’re getting something for the money spent. Good luck

You’d need to read the contract and see when the cut off date is to make changes. Mine is 30 days, but I still lose my deposit…

I would definitely read over that contract and see exactly all that you would lose by changing your contract.
