My sisters are throwing my bachelorette paty and I think it’s going to look like this:
Spa day at the hotel
Brunch the next morning
We’ve been looking for somewhere to host the lingerie shower, but the private room at the restaurant I love is booked almost every weekend. Would it be strange hosting a lingerie shower at a wine bar? It would be very casual and maybe around 4:30pm, so probably not a lot of people around. I think it would just be champagne, cheese, and cupcakes. I don’t think there would be more than 10-15 girls.

Yes as other people including men may be around.

Yes. I would hate to go to a wine bar and have a bunch of strangers yelling over lingerie.

@vanessa7: It depends on your crowd. Personally I’d be ok with this as wine bars are generally smaller and less crowded than regular bars, and really your probably never going to see the strangers there again… Also the crowd in our local wine bars is more professional and polite than the usual bar crowd. But I could careless what strangers think & LOVE me some wine; I do know quite a few people that would be very embarrased for strangers to be seeing their gifts….
Maybe said strangers will join in the celebration and buy a few drinks for ya’ll!

@vanessa7: I’d look for a private room somewhere. The giggle fest might get O-L-D for other patrons.

Yes. This would be odd. We gave my friend some lingerie for her bachelorette, but we did it in the hotel room while pregaming before dinner.

@LilRhodyGem: +1, this. Also, I personally wouldn’t want anyone other than my husband buying me lingerie. Ugh.

@MrsTVLover: I would love to do it at the hotel, but I don’t think that everyone invited to the bachelorette will be staying at the hotel, so that’s why I didn’t think it would work.
@MrsPanda99: Fair enough!
I’d prefer a private room, also, just having trouble finding one! We may end up going with a semi-private patio at one of my favorite afternoon spots, but I’m not sure about the weather!

how about you pay for a room at a hotel and use it as a venue?

@bebero: We are staying at a hotel, but only a few of us, not everyone, so I’m not sure if that will work, but maybe if we book a suite.

I think the day sounds really fun! How crowded is the wine bar? If they have a semi private area or at least a corner you can reserve I think that would be ok. If you are just in the middle of the bar itself I think it could be awkward.
