Okay, so I know I still have just under 4 months to go…but…
When I ordered my dress last October, I was told it would ship the first week of April. A week ago, the 13th, I called the shop to see if it was in yet. They said it wasn’t there yet, but “it shipped April 1st” and should be in any day now. They said they would call me as soon as it arrived.
Cut to this last Thursday, the 18th, I called again and spoke with another employee. I was told, “hmmmm…that’s weird it looks like it hasn’t left the factory yet”. When I explained I was told the week prior that it had shipped, the employee told me “that is just an ESTIMATED ship date, and it hasn’t been shipped yet”. She agreed it was behind schedule, but said that the store owner was traveling that day to CA but would be in contact with her and find out what’s going on and call the minute she knew anything”.
Well, two says later and still no word. I realize I’m probably over- concerned, but if there’s an issue I want to know now.
I plan on calling again Monday.
What do I say or askto get real answers? I don’t want be rude… I don’t care if they can absolutely garuntee it will be in in the next few weeks but if there’s a problem I don’t want the run around.
What should I say or when should I call? I know the dress factory is in China so it’s not like it’s a quick shipping process.
