FI's  best man's daughter was supposed to be our flower girl, but now due to their financial situation, only the best man is able to travel up for the wedding, not the entire family. So no more flower girl :(

We're having a really small 50-person ceremony/brunch reception... will it be weird to have no flower girl?

We do have an adorable little ring bearer, still!

    Thoughts?

Nope. Not at all. I had 5 ring bearers (all our nephews) and no flower girl. And it was perfect!

I had a flower girl and junior bridesmaid, but no ringbearer.  I don't think anyone will notice.

Nahhhh! I'm sorry it fell through :( but don't fret!! I think it's all about what you want and I really don't think anyone will care. We don't have any junior BMs, nor do we have a flower girl or ring bearer and we are having a pretty big wedding. There just weren't any small children amongst our close family or friends to ask so o well!

Many weddings do not have a flower girl or a ring bearer.

I've never actually been to a wedding with either a ring bearer or flower girl -It must not be common here at all.

Not weird at all...we're only having a ring-bearer at ours, and that's only if he's in the mood lol

@babybluz: Lol, I hear ya! Our ring bearer will be 13 months old at the wedding, and I have a BM designated to either walk or carry him down, based on his mood!

So for those of you that don't have a ring bearer do you just designate that to another flower girl? I will have three flower girls 2, 3, and 4 yrs old and a junior bridesmaid. It would be between the 2 year old and junior bridesmaid. The 3 and four year old would just fight that one got to do it and the other didnt.

Not weird at all! I'm not having a ring bearer or flower girl. There were no obvious candidates, so FI and i just opted not to have them at all.

I don't know any little girls, and FI's nephews are super shy (refused to walk down the aisle at FBIL's wedding last year). No ring bearers, no flower girls, all "grown ups"

I sure hope not, we're not having one unless I meet someone with a little girl inbetween now and then...
