I voted “a little weird” but in a cute way. I always have a lady chuckle when I get a photo of someone as gifts. I always tease my family that’s what they are getting for christmas, or a poster of me giving them the thumbs up.

I do think it’s cute though. And if they said they wanted a good picture then they will love it. And even though I think it’s funny, I also enjoy getting them of families/kids/friends. It’s a little cheese, but I don’t think it’s in poor taste or anything.

FI and I are printing engagemtn photos for our parents, but wouldn’t give them to anyone else as gifts.

@MsGinkgo:  My sister has done that multiple times. It’s kinda weird, however she IS in  love with her reflection so it fits her personality. LOL. If family wants pics of you two, just hand them out w/o a frame on any random day. Don’t make them a gift.

I’m currently in the process of stalking my brothers on Facebook to steal their photos so I can do a collage for our family that live in a different state, lol. So I think it’s totally fine, especially if they’ve asked for pictures!

@MsGinkgo:  we are doing the same exact thing! i personally think it is a great gift.. all my aunts and uncles and my parents have engagement/wedding photos of all my cousins (their nieces and nephews) throughout their homes so i don’t think it is a silly gift at all!

@MsGinkgo:  I think it’s totally fine! FI and I are going to give his parents one of our engagement pictures as a gift(I might give one to my mom, but she was our photographer so she probably already printed some for herself lol). We might also give one to FI’s aunt, because she mentioned she’d love one. FI got his parents other gifts, so it wouldn’t be the only present, and we wouldn’t have gotten anything for his aunt anyway so I don’t think it will be weird or lame.

@MsGinkgo:  Unless you guys agreed to do a gift exchange under a certain amount then I think this is a little weird. Maybe you could give them nice photo albums with some pictures of your wedding already included?

@MsGinkgo:  well id never give on to a friend of course, but parents and grandparents love that shit! Last year we gave my MIL a photo collage frame with pics from our wedding. It’s now on the wall, she loved it

@MsGinkgo:  Personally, I would not give a framed picture of ourselves unless it was to our parents, and it would be accompanied by something else.  It would not be the sole gift we give out.
