I took pics today of our son and dog for our holiday pic to send out (DH and I are never in it – I hate pictures of myself). Our dog kept moving so my husband stepped into the picture to help and I took one and it turned out fantastic. All the other ones had my son looking away. I rushed to do this before going to dinner at MIL’s and just wanted to know…would it be really weird to send this pic out on our holiday card since I am not in yet? I don’t mind since I hate pics (being in them). Thanks.

I think it would be weird. Just remember that no one except you hates pictures of yourself!

honestly, it’s a little strange to have the whole family and not you. people receiving the cards might be confused by your absence

If I were your friend, I would be puzzled and worried that there was something wrong if you were not in your family’s holiday card but your husband was! Do you still have time to redo them?

I agree that it’s weird. You can’t send out a family Christmas card and have one parent pictured but not two.

@elysion: Ha ha I can see that. Ok…I thought it was weird too but I just love the pic. Will just frame it for home and do my son and dog again. I can redo them…just such a pain to get my son to agree.

So glad I checked on here first. Just wanted to double check with some ladies here to get another opinion. Thanks!

i would find it a bit odd and wonder why you are not in the picture. of course you don’t want rumours passing through your family or friends.
i suppose you can all sign the card though. i would expect a few calls or emails inquiring as to why you are not in the pic.

Yes, odd. I’d photoshop out the hubby at least. Just a kid and dog is not weird. Since I have no photoshop skills, I have used Etsy people do touch up photos like this!
